I am very confident you will never find a better example of a Toyota LandCruiser FJ60; of any year. This literally turns heads everywhere I go! I'd also by happy take any additional pictures you request. The first thing I do with all my Land Cruiser purchases, whether or not they run great, is bring them to a mechanic to have them completely gone through. I basically told the mechanic at Land Cruiser. I've accomplished the following major items within the last month along with many other repairs / upgrades: New spark plugs New spark plug wires New distributor cap New fuel filter New oil filter New battery New starter New alternator Oil change Coolant system flush New stereo New 33" BF Goodrich all terrain tires Complete repaint Powder coated OEM wheels I spent over 3,500 just at the mechanic. This truck is ready to go anywhere! This truck also features these tasteful modifications: 5" inch lift Explorer style roof rack HID headlights Limo window tinting If you know about these trucks, and have seen others, you know what an EXTREMELY RARE find this one is. It is nearly impossible to find a clean and original FJ60. This truck has VERY LOW MILES for the year. This truck has a CLEAN TITLE and a CLEAN CarFax with no accidents. This truck is also RUST FREE! There is only the expected surface rust on parts of the frame, but not on the body. If you don’t know of the FJ60’s reliability and versatility, do your homework. I challenge you to find any negative comments on any website. In my opinion, these are the best SUV’s ever made. This is a proven truck with years of reliability. This is a truck that can literally last a lifetime and be passed from generation to generation. These trucks are only increasing in value and are widely popular across all generations and demographics. I've sold them in the past to ranchers, commercial pilots, CEO's of investment firms, conspiracy theorists, hipsters and fathers who just wanted a safe family vehicle. Imperfections on the interior are very hard to find. There are no stains or smells; no pet hair; no rips or fading upholstery. The interior is a 8 out of 10. Keep in mind this is a 29 year old truck and it is not perfect. However, it is in excellent condition overall. The exterior shines and has only very small imperfections. I just had it repainted so its in really good condition. It's not a Maaco job, but it's not show car job either. There were no rust repairs necessary prior to repainting the truck. The exterior is a 8 out of 10. There are no known mechanical issues. The engine runs very strong with no smoking or knocks. There is some evidence of seeping but no puddling under the truck. The 4WD shifts effortlessly and works amazing. The AC is not hooked up currently but I have all the components in a box. This is one of those cars I just don't want to sell. It fires up the first time every time and runs great. I actually smile every time it fires up.

Toyota fears supplier pressure in Australia with GM pull out

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

With Ford and General Motors both announcing an end to production in Australia, the country's auto industry is in a bad way. With the exit of two big players, there's increased concern that a third Australian manufacturer, Toyota, will be forced out, as well.
"We are saddened to learn of GM Holden's decision. This will place unprecedented pressure on the local supplier network and our ability to build cars in Australia," Toyota Australia said in a statement. The GM closure of Holden production will be the direct end to 2,900 jobs, but will also force a dramatic reduction in the size of the country's supplier network, as there will simply be fewer cars to build.
In the same statement, Toyota Australia said it would work with suppliers and local government to figure out whether continuing production Down Under was even feasible. According to Automotive News, a representative for the Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union told reporters it was "highly likely" that Toyota would also close up shop within the next few years.

Toyota prices fuel cell sedan $70K in Japan, coming to US and Europe next summer [w/video]

Wed, 25 Jun 2014

Toyota has finally unveiled its FCV hydrogen fuel cell sedan and its Japanese price. We won't have to wait too long to see the first of these revolutionary vehicles on the roads. It will go on sale in Japan in April 2015 and will come to the US and Europe later that summer.
In Japan, the FCV will be priced at roughly 7 million yen before taxes ($68,810 at current exchange rates). However, Toyota makes it clear in the press release that we shouldn't try to extrapolate US MSRP from that figure, saying that official pricing for the US and Europe has not yet been determined. As will be the case in the US, sales in Japan will be limited to parts of the country that already have a hydrogen refueling infrastructure (that means you, California).
The production version of the FCV looks almost identical to the concept from last year's Tokyo Motor Show. There is a new vertical strip of LEDs at each corner of the front air intake and real sideview windows, instead of the nubs on the prototype. The weird squiggles from the rear trim are also gone in favor of a more production-ready look, but the taillights survive the changes mostly intact.

2015 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro

Thu, 23 Oct 2014

Despite the earnest efforts of Japanese automakers like Toyota and Nissan, the American pickup truck scene remains wholly dominated by the likes of Ford, General Motors and Chrysler. This is not news. Part of the reason is because of the sheer number of variants offered by US automakers - everything from work-spec base trucks to house-leveling heavy duty models can be had, with a seemingly endless combination of engines, cab sizes, bed lengths and trim levels. It's a hugely profitable business, and though the Japanese automakers still offer competitive fullsize trucks, in terms of sheer volume, they simply don't compete.
But American pickups aren't just about work; there's a huge play aspect involved, too. Look at the desert-storming Ford F-150 SVT Raptor or the Ram Power Wagon - these butch trucks are built with superb off-road prowess in mind, and Detroit's Japanese rivals have once again largely been silent in this segment. Until now.
Introduced at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show, Toyota now offers the TRD Pro series of models that, in addition to the crazy-orange Tundra seen here, includes the smaller Tacoma pickup and 4Runner SUV. And this isn't just some pretty appearance package, either - there's honest-to-goodness capability baked into all of the TRD Pro models. Intriguing, for sure, so I recently spent a weekend with the big boy Tundra to see what's what.
