For Sale - 1977 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40
This stunning 1977 FJ40 was originally purchased at a Barrett-Jackson auction and the new owner had Red Line Land Cruisers of Colorado Springs work to restore and tastefully modify this FJ. A frame-off restoration was performed BEFORE the added modifications/new restoration was completed, so this Cruiser has been restored twice-over to meet the exacting specifications of the new owner.
If you're looking for a dependable, completely restored, show-quality, rugged and dependable Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 that can conquer any trail or terrain, this is the one! No sacrifices were made during the restoration and crafting of this beautiful, head-turning rig!
Some of the key features of this FJ40 include the completely rebuilt 2F engine with electronic fuel injection and a brand new Toyota 5-speed manual transmission (H55). This go-anywhere, do-anything, classic FJ40 has tasteful upgrades while remaining very original. For those of you in humid climates concerned about rust, this is a perfect choice for you for two reasons: 1) The body was in pristine, rust-free condition before the restoration was started and 2) The LineX paint job, both inside and out, ensures an air-tight bond against the metal, which will give you confidence that your Land Cruiser will remain rust-free for decades to come, no matter what you throw at it or how humid the climate!

- 3-row aluminum radiator
- New RV camshaft with new lifters and valve springs
- Has not been offroaded - this rig was restored and has been babied and garaged ever since (take a look at the other vintage cars in the owner's garage and you'll get a sense of the quality and investment in this rig). It's ready to rock the trails by a new owner!

Toyota has released the first images of its brigade of concepts for the 2014 SEMA Show, introducing a trio of TRD-fettled off-roaders, a pair of DUB-inspired models, a race-ready pickup and a Sienna minivan with 48 inches worth of subwoofers. Four of the vehicles being shown by Toyota will take part in the grueling Baja 1000 off-road race. The star of that effort will be a race-prepared Tundra, which will actually be competing from November 12 to 16 in the 47th running of the desert race. It'll be supported by a trio of vehicles, which mimics Toyota's TRD Pro Series production vehicles, with the 4Runner, Tacoma and Tundra all acting as support vehicles. Each of these vehicles has been fabricated by the off-road specialists at N-Fab and comes loaded down with communications and guidance equipment, additional lights and off-road body modifications.

EVO has come out with another gotta-watch-it video, throwing its 2012 Car of the Year contestants around the UK's 1.5-mile Blyton Park track. It's actually a 15-minute teaser for the full-length DVD detailing the magazine's Car of the Year selection, but the tease is worth every penny free second. Tiff Needell and sports car racer Richard Meaden handle the wheel duties, the two driving five pairs of sports cars: Lotus Exige S vs. Porsche Boxster S, Morgan Three-Wheeler vs. Toyota GT86, BMW M135i vs. Porsche 911, Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series vs. Alpina B3 GT3, the marquee event pits the McLaren MP4-12C vs. the Pagani Huayra. After a head-to-head lap with commentary during drifts, Meaden takes each car out to set a representative lap time. You'll find the verdicts, lots of tire smoke, and lines like "Anything you can do sideways I can do sideways" in the video below.

The fourth and final practice day of the 91st Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is complete. Tomorrow everyone will make any last-minute adjustments and get their cars, their bits and bobs lined up in the pits for Sunday morning's this-time-it-counts run. The Unlimited runners took on the top section of the course today, Sébastien Loeb and his big-mouth Peugeot acing the practice test again with a time of 2:11. Rhys Millen's team proved its got the engine issues of two days ago in the Hyundai PM580T sorted out, posting the next-best time at 2:27.16. The reason we had to dip all the way into the hundredths for his time is because he nipped Romain Dumas by just .31 of them, the Frenchman in the Norma M20FC PP running the course in 2:27.47. In fourth came the Frenchman in the monster Mini, Jean-Philippe Dayraut six seconds back at 2:33. Time Attack competitors, also on the upper section, were led by Paul Dallenbach in the Hyundai Genesis Coupe with a time of 2:36, Porsche pilot Jeff Zwart crossing the line six seconds later at 2:42, fellow Porsche driver David Donner coming in another six seconds back at 2:48. Dallenbach has topped three of the four practice-day sessions, sliding into the second spot behind Donner only on Practice Day 2.
