This is a gorgeous diesel Land Cruiser that already has A/C and heat installed. It has absolutely no rust and no body filler. It has been well taken care of, and used very little. The color is the original Toyota beige 464., with black leather seats and interior. It has the overhead storage with radio and speakers that work great. It has head lamp guards, directional guards, and fog lights. It also has the original split rims. I can't say enough good about this cruiser. It runs perfectly and quietly. Everything works correctly including brakes, transmission, 4x4 shift, lights, and all other systems. I had it inspected by a licensed mechanic, and it passed all tests perfectly.The top comes off for open air driving, like a jeep. Put on a roll bar, and you are ready for summer driving. This diesel Land Cruiser in this condition, at this price is a rare find and a perfect investment. The value will only increase while you drive a head turning, rare vehicle. Toyota hits 10 million Camry models sold in US
Tue, 02 Jul 2013This year marks 30 years of sales for the Toyota Camry in the US, and in that time, it has amassed more than 10 million sales. In its first year on the market, the Camry sold 52,651 units, but it has gone on to become the best-selling car in the US for the last 11 years.
Toyota says that "virtually all" current Camry models sold in the US are made here, and three-quarters of all Camry contents are domestically sourced. 400-hp Toyota Hybrid-R Concept gets second teaser
Tue, 13 Aug 2013Toyota has released a second teaser of its Hybrid-R Concept, along with an estimation of the show car's power output. Using technology that's "similar to that used by Toyota Racing's TS030 Hybrid race car," the concept is expected to deliver over 400 horsepower.
The press release also mentions that the new concept is based on a current production model. While it's difficult to tell from the sole teaser image of the car's body, rumors are flying that it's related to the Yaris. If that's the case, though, it's difficult to know what to make of this concept. The teaser image is quite dark, but we played around with the exposure and came up with an image that reveals more details about the new concept. Toyota explains what names like Camry and Yaris mean
Mon, 20 Oct 2014Ever wonder where automakers get the names for their cars? You're not alone. The sitcom Seinfeld opened Episode 94 - the one where George Costanza buys a Chrysler LeBaron instead of a Volvo - with a bit about nameplates like Integra, Supra and Impreza. Toyota, clearly, is not exempt from choosing evocative but enigmatic names for its models, and now the Japanese automaker is taking us through the etymology of some of its nameplates.
Names like Supra may require no clarification, but what about Camry? That comes from the Japanese word kanmuri for Crown (which is, incidentally, the name of another Toyota sedan).
Yaris? According to the company, it's "an amalgamation of words from Greek mythology and German. In Greek mythology, 'Charis' was a symbol of beauty and elegance. Toyota swapped the 'Ch' with 'Ya' - German for 'yes' - to symbolize the perceived reaction of European markets to the car's styling."
