Just needs installed. The hard stuff is in already. The clutch, master cylinder, and slave cylinder are less than 2000 miles old. I have extra parts as well. Boxes. There are 2 extra clutches and pressure plates. The seats are very nice. They are out of a 2002 Ford Focus. Very comfortable. They are leather and the driver seat is electric and fully functional. The rear jump seats are original and in very good condition. Other than surface rust where paint has come off, this is a RUST FREE vehicle. Any rust it had was properly cut out and new metal welded in place. A very nice job. The interior Is fully Rhino lined. It still needs mats or carpet. Glass is all very good. Doors have good weather stripping. Tires have great tread. Has hubcaps even on the spare. Shocks are new. It has a 2.5 inch lift on Old Man Emu springs. Also included is a big Warn winch. It mounts on the front bumper. It has controls that mount in the cab so you can operate it from inside the rig. Engine starts right up and runs great. Trans is a three speed on the floor. Shifts smooth. Never pops out of gear. Tranny and transfer case both feel great. 4x4 works nice. I'm not a serious off roader but I've used it in the snow. Lights and turn signals work properly. Lots of interior lighting wired in. Nice easy to see turn signal display lights on the dash. Also comes with a tow bar. This is a great rig. With paint and mats it should be worth 20k All the hard stuff is done. And if you are looking for a fun family rig or maybe something for hunting or fishing you won't find a better built one for the price. I'm sure I've forgotten a few things so please ask questions. You'll need to jog my memory. Our life has changed and we just can't have all these toys anymore. Buyer is responsible for shipping. I will help with loading or whatever. I have a safe place to keep it til it's picked up. If you choose to but it, I expect quick payment. I prefer wire transfer. Sold as is. Thanks for looking. |

2013 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport
Tue, 16 Apr 2013"Oh yeah, Toyota still makes the Tacoma." Admit it, that's what you just said to yourself. It's a perfectly natural reaction, but the Tacoma has been quietly anchoring its segment for years, outselling every other compact pickup without making too much of a fuss. Toyota hasn't neglected the Tacoma - it was updated in 2012 with a revised nose and interior as the most noteable changes.
In a world awash with high-value fullsize pickups all vying for your attention, the Tacoma still charms more than a few buyers out of their cash. I hooked a Tacoma for a week to see whether it still has enough to recommend it.
Driving Notes
Pickup sales may hit 2M units for first time since 2007
Sat, 21 Sep 2013Even as fuel prices creep back up, trucks are still a hot item among new-vehicle shoppers. To see how popular pickup trucks still are, you don't have to look any further than how much effort automakers put into the continual one-upmanship of their trucks. Backing this fact up, USA Today is reporting that the segment could top two million sales this year - a total not matched since 2007, though still far from the pre-recession, three-million-unit levels.
Through August, the Ford F-Series continues to be the segment leader with almost 500,000 units sold, but the Chevy Silverado (328,269), Ram 1500 (234,642), GMC Sierra (122,232) and Toyota Tacoma (110,293) are all seeing at least 20-percent sales increases, helping to account for around 1.44 million truck sales so far this year - not including possible outliers like the Suzuki Equator and Chevy Avalanche.
This year alone, General Motors has completely redesigned its fullsize trucks, Ram and Toyota have significantly updated their offerings, the next-gen Ford F-150 will be out next year and Nissan is promising an all-new Titan around the same time with an eventual Cummins diesel under the hood. It would seem, then, that truck sales are poised to continue their upward trend.
Toyota retires robots in favor of humans to improve automaking process
Sat, 12 Apr 2014Mitsuru Kawai is overseeing a return to the old ways at Toyota factories throughout Japan. Having spent 50 years at the Japanese automaker, Kawai remembers when manual skills were prized at the company and "experienced masters used to be called gods, and they could make anything." Company CEO Akio Toyoda personally chose Kawai to develop programs to teach workers metalcraft such as how to forge a crankshaft from scratch, and 100 workstations that formerly housed machines have been set aside for human training.
The idea is that when employees personally understand the fabrication of components, they will understand how to make better machines. Said Kawai, "To be the master of the machine, you have to have the knowledge and the skills to teach the machine." Lessons learned by the newly skilled workers have led to shorter production lines - in one case, 96percent shorter - improved parts production and less scrap.
Taking time to give workers the knowledge to solve problems instead of merely having them "feed parts into a machine and call somebody for help when it breaks down," Kawai's initiative is akin to that of Toyota's Operations Management Consulting Division, where new managers are given a length of time to finish a project but not given any help - they have to learn on their own. It's not a step back from Toyota's quest to build more than ten million cars a year; it's an effort to make sure that this time they don't sacrifice quality while making the effort. Said Kawai, "We need to become more solid and get back to basics."
