This is a very tight (no squeeks, rattles) ride. It is very fast for this type of rig and I would not hesitate to drive across the country anywhere. Here are the details-Has zero rust and is a bright yellow. It does have a few chip marks and there is some cracking in the middle of hood and some extra holes in firewall ?. These marks are not noticeable from 10 feet away. The cage is custom and includes the seat mount area. The gauges are autometer brand and all are working properly. Tires are 35-12.50-15 and are new with a new spare and wheels are custom except a non-matching spare wheel. Engine is a custom built 350 chevy with all the chrome goodies. Carburator is a holley truck avenger. Has headers with a nice (lopy)  sounding duel exhaust system. Has a Turbo 350 automatic with HP kit and a 2500 stall converter. Transfercase is a Dana 300 with twin sticks. Rear axle is a Ford 9 inch disc brake with 4.11 gears and Detroit locker and Moser axles. Toyota pimps out Esquire van for Japanese businessmen [w/video]

Wed, 29 Oct 2014

A few months back we reported on a dealership owner in Japan who was petitioning Toyota to make a luxury van. The problem, he reasoned, was that he couldn't take as many friends, colleagues and clients around with him in his Lexus LS, and his Toyota Alphard van wasn't luxurious enough. Well, it seems like he wasn't alone, and Toyota has listened.
The Japanese auto giant has just revealed the Esquire, a new luxury van designed with just such customers in mind. It's significantly smaller than the Sienna we get in America, smaller than the aforementioned Alphard and about the same size as (this writer's favorite) the JDM Noah van (on which we gather it's based). But what sets the Esquire apart is its upscale appearance.
The boxy van is distinguished by its dominant T-shaped chrome grille with a unique emblem that encompasses a shield, sword, "the collar of a gentleman's suit" and the letters Esq. The flank is characterized by a strong beltline with chrome lower window frame and an expansive greenhouse with tinted rear glass. Inside the flexible cabin you'll find accommodation for seven or eight passengers (depending on specification), synthetic leather upholstery and wood and metallic trim. There are even wheelchair-enabled models on offer as well.

2014 Toyota 4Runner Limited

Thu, 08 May 2014

What would you say if we told you that outside of Jeep and Land Rover, the best brand for those who want to go off road is Toyota? Sounds remarkable, eh? But the truth is, Toyota's history of providing vehicles for the rougher bits of our blue marble dates back to 1950, barely a decade after Willys built the first Jeeps and only a few years after Land Rover made its big debut with the iconic Series I.
In fact, Toyota's start in off-roaders was with a small contract for providing the US Army with vehicles, during the Korean War. From that, the BJ was spawned. This Jeep-like vehicle evolved into the 20 Series and then into the iconic 40 Series Land Cruiser in the 1960s.
So yes, Toyota knows its way around the trails. While the Land Cruiser, deservedly, gets all the attention thanks to its impressive longevity, we're partial to the 4Runner, which is a far more affordable entry that serves as Toyota's challenger to the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Toyota recalling 10k vehicles to fix wiper switches

Fri, 11 Oct 2013

Toyota has announced a voluntary recall covering approximately 10,000 cars in the United States. Affected models include the 2013-14 Camry and Camry Hybrid, 2013-14 Avalon and Avalon Hybrid, and the brand new 2014 Corolla.
The problem, as Toyota explains it, is that, "During manufacture of the wiper switch assembly in the involved vehicles, certain contacts on the switch terminal could have been manufactured incorrectly." This could lead to a short in the circuit when the wiper switch is moved between "off" and "mist," and thus, cause the windshield wipers to stop working. Not good.
Toyota will contact owners via first class mail, and the vehicles can be repaired at dealerships, free of charge. Have a look below for the automaker's official statement.
