Tons of upgraded parts for the cruiser., It has a Memphis distributor cap and if you know anything about Memphis caps they're super expensive and the best . Run around 400 dollars for them. it has 5 brand new 33 inch tires on them . brakes have been worked on . if you know anything about these cruisers the brakes are egregious . this one you can stop and feel comfortable about doing it in todays fast paced stop and go society , the engine has been rebuilt . I bought this cruiser that had 57 k original miles on it. I broke the cluster taking it out and trying to clean it . So I replaced it , the new one has 20+k miles on it .It has upgraded plugs and wires on it ,it has a mean green starter , has custom front and rear bumper and believe it or not all the electrical is there and works .I believe that the floor lamp bulb is burnt out ,but that's no biggie . This cruiser has been lifted 2.5 inches  from its original leaf springs. Has a brand new relay and ignition switch and alternator . has a brand new wind shield gasket . This cruiser is located in Nashville TN , buyer is responsible for all shipping and every week not picked up after two weeks from day of purchase buyer will be charged 100 dollars storage fee and will be required to pay upon requiring vehicle for pick-up . if you have any questions feel free to email me and I can answer them as best as possible. If you need additional pictures leave your cell number in the questions asked for me and I will text you more pictures of whatever it is that you are wanting to see. Thanks for looking and Happy bidding . Mileage is considered unknown by the way . its still in the 50k range on motor. I think there is a way to calibrate the cluster to receive actual mileage , but don't hold it to me .

Toyota to end Australian production by 2017

Mon, 10 Feb 2014

There is more bad news for the Australian auto industry today, as Toyota has just announced that it will follow General Motors and Ford in shuttering its manufacturing operations on the continent. Production and assembly will cease by the end of 2017, but Toyota will remain in Australia as a sales and distribution company.
"We did everything that we could to transform our business, but the reality is that there are too many factors beyond our control that make it unviable to build cars in Australia," said Toyota Australia President and CEO Max Yasuda.
In an official statement, Yasuda said that the closure would directly affect 2,500 manufacturing employees and an unknown number of corporate workers. However, a report in the Australian newspaper The Age suggests that the jobs of 24,000 workers at Australian auto suppliers could also be in jeopardy. Toyota currently builds its Camry, Camry Hybrid, Aurion sedans in Australia, along with four-cylinder engines, and it plans to begin importing the Camry and Aurion after production stops.

Australia may offer money to keep Toyota making cars there

Tue, 04 Jun 2013

In the wake of last month's announcement that Ford will cease automotive and engine production in Australia after 2016, many are wondering what the country's other automakers will do. Holden has already confirmed it will stay the course despite Ford's exit.
Much of the GM subsidiary's reason for sticking around has to do with a deal made last year between Holden and the Australian government. In order to secure a GM investment of $1 billion and a commitment to keep manufacturing in Australia through 2022, the government threw in an extra $215 million. According to Australia's Minister for Innovation and Industry, Greg Combet, the government is now in talks with Toyota for a similar deal.
Toyota operates one plant in Australia, the Altona manufacturing and engine plant in Victoria. The facility produces the Camry, Camry Hybrid and Australasia-only Aurion for both the local market and export. The report from GoAuto indicates that negotiations with the Australian government would include adding production of a third, all-new model at Altona, possibly the new RAV4, because it shares many parts with the Camry.

Subaru to stop building Camry for Toyota in the US

Fri, 09 May 2014

It was back in 2007 that Subaru of Indiana Automotive, under contract from Subaru minority shareholder Toyota, built the first Toyota Camry at its plant in Lafayette, Indiana. Rumblings of the end of that contract work have been around for a while, as Subaru talked of expanding capacity to build more units and add a line for the Impreza, and Toyota talked of moving Camry production to its Georgetown, KY plant. The news was official internally last November when SIA Executive Vice President Tom Easterday told the Louisville Courier-Journal that Camry production would end. Now, Automotive News reports that both automakers have admitted publicly that the end will come in 2016.
SIA currently has a 170,000-unit capacity devoted to the home-brand Legacy and Outback models, while a $400-million expansion increases that to 300,000 units to prepare the facility for Impreza production in two years. Freeing up the 100,000 units of production devoted to the Camry means a 400,000-unit capability, which is far more than Subaru needs at the moment, but the Toyota exit will allow it to expand any way it sees fit. Subaru has said it will absorb the workers on the Camry line and no jobs will be lost, the mayor of Lafayette saying the development could change the timetable for the expansion.
