Up for auction is our 2012 FJ Cruiser in the hard to find Quicksand with black cloth interior. It only has approximately 14,300 miles or so but it will go up as it is her daily driver. 2014 is the last year for the FJ's so they will most likely go up in value, especially one with low miles! AND, it's still under the factory warranty, not that you will need it! This FJ has all the standard features including power windows, locks, mirrors, cruise plus roof rack, JBL sound system with AM/FM/ 6 disc CD player, 11 speakers, Subwoofer with XM, Bluetooth, parking sensors, rear backup camera and alloy wheels. The only thing added is a black vinyl wrap on the hood to break up the color a bit. It has the Convenience Package and Upgrade packages, which includes to name a few a Locking rear differential, 115v/400 watt power outlet, auto dimming rear view mirror, spare tire cover etc.....blahblahblah We are also interested in trades for a Ford F150 crewcab Ecoboost 4wd, Toyota Tundra Supercrew 4wd, Toyota 4runner, Honda Pilot etc...we are just in need of a bigger vehicle at this time. Toyota recalling 1.9M Prius models globally for software update
Wed, 12 Feb 2014Toyota has announced a set of voluntary recalls covering 960,000 Prius, RAV4, Tacoma and Lexus RX350 models in the United States to address two separate issues. Worldwide, Toyota will have to recall a total of 1.9 million Prius cars.
The Prius recall affects about 700,000 2010-2014 models in the US, due to a fault in the motor/generator control ECU and hybrid control ECU software. It says that the current software could result in high temperatures on certain transistors and possibly damage them. When it fails, the error forces the car into failsafe mode. Toyota says that in rare circumstances, it could even shut the hybrid system down while the car is being driven.
Toyota spokeswoman Shino Yamada told Automotive News that the software update should take about 40 minutes, and dealers would start to be notified about affected vehicles today. She also told them that the first reported glitch occurred in May 2011 in the US when the system overheated and the car entered failsafe mode. The affected cars were built between March 2009 and Feb. 5, 2014, according to Automotive News. Toyota says that it has received no reports of accidents or injuries caused by either fault.

Toyota has reached a settlement over the criminal probe into its unintended acceleration problems, and the outcome is more expensive than first expected. The Japanese automaker has agreed to pay $1.2 billion to close the investigation among other settlement terms. The criminal inquiry focused on whether the company kept information from regulators and how it handled drivers' complaints about the problems, according to the sources.
Between 2009 and 2010, Toyota ended up recalling over 10 million vehicles worldwide over sudden acceleration fears. Fixes include modifying floor mats, gas pedals, and installing brake override software on affected models. In addition, Toyota made the latter standard on all of its new vehicles.
Toyota FV2 Concept is a single-seat mood ring for the road
Wed, 20 Nov 2013Of all the vehicles Toyota brought to the Tokyo Motor Show, the FV2 might be the most creative. The minimalist single-seat concept is a glimpse at Toyota's idea of a "fun to drive" vehicle in the future.
The FV2 is essentially a pod with a diamond-shaped wheel array (what powers said wheels has not been disclosed), and Toyota says that the technology of the vehicle allows it to gauge the driver's mood and suggest possible destinations. The interaction between driver and vehicle is also displayed in an augmented reality screen on the windshield, and the car can also act as a mood ring of sorts with exterior colors and patterns that can change based on the driver's mood. We can just see it now: "Don't mess with Jim today, his car is red."
