You are bidding on a 2002 Toyota Camry SE with the desirable 3.0 v-6 engine. It has every option available in 2002, including BEAUTIFUL leather interior that is free of tears, burns ETC. The car runs and drives excellent as a Toyota should. Everything is in working order, all power windows locks stereo sunroof ETC. The tires and brakes are in great shape as well. The body has your typical door dings and scratches that any 11 year old car is going to have. Overall the car is in great shape and mechanically sound. This Camry is a well maintained 1 owner car that should last the winner of this NO RESERVE AUCTION many more years. With only 103,000 plus miles on it this car should go another 300,000 miles and or 10 plus more years. We have seen the most reliable, number one selling car in the world for many years with well over 300,000 miles on them. Another great option is the heated seats. For those of us who live in the cold weather states, which we all know is right around the corner, they will be a nice feature to have. The Camry even has a factory spoiler on it which adds a little sport type look to the car, it really stands out and in my opinion looks way better than a Camry without one. This camry also has the rear sun shade.  We are a small Family Owned Used Car Dealer, with a great reputation in our town, and many surrounding towns, we even have customers that drive 3 to 4 hours to get here to buy from us because either they themselves or a family member have purchased from us in the past. We also have an excellent EBAY rating, SO PLEASE BID WITH CONFIDENCE. The Toyota Camry is a fill up and go type car we only sell quality vehicles if there is a problem we fix it if we cant fix it we don't sell it. Its as simple as that. So again please bid with confidence you can fly in and drive home, or you may get it shipped to whatever state you want. Either way we will help every step of the way. We even can give you phone numbers for shipping quotes, or you can handle it yourself. If you win and you need help booking a flight, we can help with that as well. The 1  previous owner did keep a maintenance log in the manual, which its very hard to find a car with such great records now a days, not even car fax can do that for you. Speaking of car fax it is clean with service records, no accidents and has the buy back guarantee. Since we are a dealer you will have to pay 7% tax on top of the winning, but that's it we don't charge doc fee, prep fee, this fee that fee, and we also will provide a free 31 day drive away plate . When you pay us the tax we provide you with an ST-108 form proving you have paid 7% tax so when you register it in your state you will have the 7% credit. If your state tax is higher you will pay the difference.  Although we are small, we are a very busy car dealership because of our great reputation, so if you have any questions feel free to ask but it might take an hour or two for us to answer. Again please Bid With Confidence. This car is on the lot and could be sold at anytime, we only list our best on EBAY and we do try and leave it on EBAY because we believe in the auction style but again it could be sold at anytime. We do require an IMMEDIATE $500 deposit through Pay pal so please only bid if you can make the Immediate Deposit, The rest can also be done through Pay pal or we can take a credit card over the Phone, Cash in person, or a cashiers check through the mail whatever you prefer. Once we receive the deposit, we can hold the car for up to 2 weeks as long as its paid in full. We require the car to be paid in full after 3 days of the auction end. So $500 right after you win and the balance within 3 days in one of the forms I mentioned above. As I stated we are very busy so please if you don't intend to follow through with the deal please don't bid. Some people think this is a game. to us its a Business and we are very professional at what we do, as I am sure most of you are at what you do, and nobody likes wasted time. LIFE IS TOO SHORT. Thanks for viewing our 2002 Camry you will not be disappointed so please do not hesitate to bid on this NO RESERVE AUCTION . If you are not satisfied we will refund your deposit that's how confident we are in the car. Again any questions just ask.  HAPPY BIDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Toyota wants improved crash scores with midcycle facelifts

Thu, 29 Aug 2013

The performances of some Toyotas in the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's (IIHS) regimen of crash tests leave something to be desired. Consider the small overlap frontal crash test: only six Toyota, Lexus and Scion vehicles have undergone the new test, yet all but one of them received a poor rating. Osama Nagata, CEO of Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America Inc., says midcycle vehicle updates are in the works to address the safety issues brought to light by the IIHS test, Automotive News reports. He confirmed that the RAV4 is getting safety updates following its crash test performance last month, but he didn't name any other models.
All three Toyotas that were tested - 2013 RAV4, 2012-2013 Prius V, 2012-2013 Camry - received poor ratings. The 2007-2012 Lexus ES 350 and 2006-2013 IS 250/350 also received poor ratings. The only other Toyota Motor Corp. vehicle to score better than poor is the 2014 Scion TC. It received an acceptable rating in the small overlap frontal crash test and is the only recent vehicle in Toyota's line-up to get the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ rating.
The small overlap front crash test measures the safety of a car when its front left corner is strikes an object during an accident, bypassing traditional crumple zones, which deform in a way to protect passengers. In 2009, automakers were alerted to the forthcoming addition of the test, which was first implemented last year, IIHS spokesman Russ Rader says. They responded with differing intensity, he says, pointing out that Subaru and Honda started incorporating design changes early on so their cars would perform well in the tests.

Toyota Mirai hydrogen fuel cell coming to US Northeast in 2016

Sun, 16 Nov 2014

Looks like someone was able to read the future back in July. That's when rumors first circulated that Toyota's upcoming fuel cell vehicle will be called the Mirai. Today, Toyota president Akio Toyoda confirmed the name alongside plans to build out a hydrogen refueling infrastructure in the US Northeast.
In Japanese, mirai (??) means "future," which is a fitting name for a car that Toyota believes represents the direction the auto industry will go in the coming years. In a promotional video announcing the name, Toyoda said, "For [Toyota], this isn't just another car. This is an opportunity - an opportunity to really make a difference. And making a difference is what Toyota is all about."
To help that future come into existence, Toyota CEO Jim Lentz also disclosed the vague outline of a fuel cell infrastructure investment that Toyota and partner Air Liquide will make in a five-state Northeastern corridor that consists of Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Rhode Island. The Mirai will be available there in 2015 and Toyota is going to build 12 stations in and around New York and Boston to support the launch. More details will be available later.

Toyota's Psy-style Waku-Doki ad inherits Japan's bizarre ad crown

Tue, 29 Jul 2014

A new Japanese Toyota ad featuring crisply suited businessmen driving into the jungle only to segue into a Psy-style music-video dance-off with a gorilla and natives is the latest car commercial to go viral. Jungle Wakudoki is the newest installment in a grand tradition of bizarre ads from the island nation that are by turns hilarious, head-scratching and occasionally even frightening.
Let's face it: My people are weird.
I'm half-Japanese and take suitable pride in my Asian roots, but even I can't figure out what's been slipped into the water coolers of the country's ad agencies much of the time - or the nation at large, for that matter. From Japan's ubiquitous obsession with all things adorable (kawaii) to its offbeat sense of humor and its bizarrely perverse and violent tentacle porn, it's clear there's a lot going on in the culture, and only some of it bubbles up to the surface in its marketing efforts. Much of the strangest and most amazing ads are for non-transportation products (e.g. laundry soap, snacks, energy drinks), but the automotive space has its fair share. This latest Toyota ad had me trawling YouTube for a common theme, trying to make sense of why these spots are the way they are. Scroll down to watch the Toyota ad in question as well as a bunch of other examples of Japan's most bizarre car-related ads and see if you can't find the thread that runs between them. Is it just that something's being lost in translation? Have your say in Comments.
