I'm selling my grandma's 2002 Toyota Camry
LE V6 with no reserve to the high bidder. My grandma is over 85 and no
longer able to drive so the car is up for auction. The car was routinely
maintained and serviced and it was not driven past 40-50 mph and I am
not trying to exaggerate myself either. The car was purchased brand new
and she was the only owner. The car runs and drives very good. The 3.0L
V6 EFI motor fires right up with ease and it sounds healthy. The
automatic tranny shifts perfect thru out all the gears with no issues at
all. The outside body has nicks and marks and scratches all around so
please look at every single picture I posted. The interior is clean and
well kept. The beverages in the trunk do not come with the car haha. If
you're looking for a healthy Toyota with low miles that has not been
beat or abused then look no further than this healthy one! I have the

Legal approach in $1.2 billion Toyota settlement could impact handling of GM recall cases
Wed, 26 Mar 2014In the past, if an automaker did something wrong, they were usually prosecuted by the US government through something called the TREAD Act. Short for Transportation Recall Enhancement, Accountability and Documentation Act, it basically requires automakers to report recalls in other countries, along with any and all serious injuries or deaths, to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Failing to report or attempting to conceal anything when there's been a death or serious injury constitutes a criminal liability. The idea is that this setup puts the onus on manufacturers to keep NHTSA apprised of safety related issues before they become a problem in the US, thereby allowing the regulator to better protect consumers.
In theory, it sounds like a relatively airtight set of rules for dealing with misbehaving automakers. That didn't stop the US Department of Justice from ignoring TREAD in its prosecution of Toyota's handling of the unintended acceleration recall, though. The result of this new approach, which charged Toyota with wire fraud, was a $1.2 billion settlement. Now, the wire-fraud approach could be used for the expected case between the US government and General Motors, based on the statements of Attorney General Eric Holder, who specifically mentioned "similarly situated companies" when discussing Toyota.

Toyota sells 3-millionth Prius
Sun, 07 Jul 2013Three generations in sixteen years and more than three million units sold worldwide - as of the end of June, those are the stats on the Toyota Prius. Even though Toyota says Prius sales might not reach the goal of 250,000 units this year, the little hybrid that could still doesn't have any problem flying off dealer lots. The second-generation Prius sold 1.2 million examples in its eight-year lifespan, and the third generation, introduced in 2009, has sold 1.7 million examples in just four years.
Toyota is also touting its investment in future powertrains, some 790 billion yen ($7.9 billion US) on research and development into new platforms and components, and "environmental technology development."
