So ,,, up for sale is a Susuki SX4 I'm going to start by mentioning that it has a rebuilt title, as you can see in the pics, sections not painted/primed are what was damaged, I've had the car for a little more than 2 yrs, I bought it with 33000 miles, it has never given me any problems, it is my daily driver, I do drive a lot since I am in the construction business, this car is very reliable, it does have some issues that were never repaired since I've owned it, the cruise control does not engage, horn does not work, it only works with the keyless remote, but not by pressing on the steering wheel, and the radio controls on steering wheel do not operate either, now the TPMS sensor light is on bc I had a flat tire and never took it to dealer to reset it, I know the airbags are intact, they never deployed so I know they are not damaged, it is a little dirty it could use a good detail/cleaning, tires are almost new, 50000 miles guaranteed, oh and it is a stict shift not automatic, I added a roof rack it will be included, and the gps, the car is mechanically perfect, you may test drive it, and take it to your mechanic, or friend or whomever to check it out, they will find nothing wrong with the car other than the issues I have indicated, the check engine light is also on and I did take it to a mechanic and they ran a diognostics test, and an o2 sensor came up, they suggested to clean it and it would reset the code, I will consider all reasonable offers, and if you have any question you may contact me 5749334645 |

Suzuki recalling 200K crossovers over airbag woes
Mon, 16 Sep 2013Suzuki may not be selling any new cars in the US anymore, but there are still plenty of them on American roads. Nearly 200,000 of those will need to be taken off said roads - for a little while, at least.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for 2006-2011 Suzuki Grand Vitara SUVs and 2007-2011 SX4 crossovers due to a faulty airbag sensor. The issue apparently results from the front passenger-side floor mat causing the Occupant Classification System (OCS) sensor to malfunction over time, so whether there's a kid or an adult in the front seat, the airbag could deploy in the event of a crash.
As a result, Suzuki Motor of America is calling in 193,936 vehicles to replace the front passenger-seat cushion assembly. That's a whole lot of cars to recall, but it comes as no big surprise. Owners can expect to be notified in October. Full details in the recall announcement below.
Land-speed racer Bill Warner dies from motorcycle crash at 285 MPH
Mon, 15 Jul 2013Motorcycle land-speed record holder Bill Warner died yesterday after crashing during an attempt at setting another record. The 44-year-old was clocked at 285 miles per hour on the runway of a former air base in northern Maine, before he lost control of his modified Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle and veered off the runway.
It is not known what speed he was traveling when things started to go wrong and unclear what caused the crash, which happened shortly before 10:00 AM. Warner's crew suspect there were mechanical difficulties on his last run, in addition to a slight breeze, according to the video news report. Warner was conscious and able to speak after the crash but died an hour and 15 minutes later at a hospital in Caribou. The event and runway were closed for the rest of the day as police investigated the incident.
Warner was participating in "The Maine Event" at Loring Air Force Base in an attempt to reach 300 mph in one mile. Warner's best land-speed record, set in 2011, was 311.945 mph in 1.5 miles on the same runway, according to the Loring Timing Association, a record that still stands today for open-cockpit motorcycles. After that run, Warner said the scariest part was stopping the bike before the end of the runway. Be sure to check out the video news report after the jump.
Incentives aid smooth Suzuki wind down
Tue, 04 Dec 2012American Suzuki is continuing to offer buyers substantial incentives even as the company winds down operations. Those looking to nab a new Suzuki vehicle will find rebates of between $500 and $2,000 and zero-percent financing for up to 72 months as dealers look to liquidate inventory following the automaker's filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last month. The strategy is working so far. Last month saw Suzuki sell a total of 2,224 vehicles, up 22 percent compared to the same time period in 2011. The Japanese manufacturer says it will continue the incentives through December.
Suzuki had around 5,000 units in dealer inventory in the US when it went into bankruptcy protection, with an additional 1,500-1,700 vehicles headed to dealers at that time. The company says it will continue to honor warranties moving forward using its current dealer network. Most of the dealerships will become Suzuki service and parts stores after American Suzuki shutters car sales in the US.
