Boca Raton, Florida, United States

Where do I begin with this car... It is amazing. from top to bottom the car was built by professionals.  The car was a show car and only has 5,900 miles on it and less than 3,000 on the motor.  Whoever buys this car will not be dissatisfied by any means.  It is ready to be driven.  Over 50k in parts and labor have been invested in this car.  Brand new, the car was $39,000.  Blue book STOCK right now is 34,000.  The car puts down just over 400hp but is built to withstand numbers above 700hp.  You WILL NOT find another subaru with this amount of work done to it in the condition that it is in.  This car is flawless and is a beast and has never been beaten on, period.  Whoever wins this bid is going to be one happy person.

Below is a list of parts that the car has:

1) Paint is 2 tone black and blue. $5,500
2) Interior is custom black leather with blue suede.  the dash and headliner are black suede. $3,500
3) The entire roof and rear end of the car has been professionally dynomatted. $1,500
4) Custom sound system with polk audio speakers and a 12 inch sub in a custom box off-set to the left in the trunk.  There is also a Clarion head unit with a full navigation system and a high def back-up camera.  $6,000
5) The motor is stroked to 2.6L with forged aluminum pistons, 9:1 compression, forged rods and crank all by Brian Crower!!!!! $14,000!!!!!
6) Custom rotated Garrett GT35R turbocharger with front mount intercooler!!! $7,500!!!
7) Tomei unequal length headers. $1,000
8) Greddy cat-back exhaust system. $950

2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek gets more infotainment, safety tech

Fri, 24 Oct 2014

A couple of months ago, Subaru rolled out a series of minor enhancements for the Impreza, and now it's performed a similar upgrade to its more rugged counterpart, the XV Crosstrek. For 2015, the XV benefits from available EyeSight driver assistance suite, steering-responsive fog lights and a new 6.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system (with a seven-inch version on higher-spec models).
Otherwise the 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek and XV Crosstrek Hybrid are essentially the same as the 2014 models they replace. The requisite 2.0-liter boxer four drives to all four wheels as always, with or without hybrid assist, through either a five-speed manual or continuously variable transmission. Look for the updated model to reach dealers this December, and in the meantime, feel free to peruse the press release below.

2015 Subaru Outback

Wed, 22 Oct 2014

Realistically, many enthusiasts give horrible, horrible car buying advice. They will recommend something bizarre, inappropriately high performance, compromised or utterly impractical for a given consumer's needs, and they'll almost never recommend something that makes sense. And then they'll come up with 3.7 million reasons why the leading vehicle someone is thinking about is a bad choice.
Or maybe that's just what I do.
Regardless, if you poke, prod, bother or just get us drunk enough, eventually you'll begin getting honest feedback. And more than likely, we'll tell you, in hushed tones, about the many virtues of very, very boring cars. We'll talk about why the Toyota Camry is actually a pretty decent purchase or we'll explain how spacious and feature laden the Nissan Versa is.

Subaru rolls out BRZ Premium Sports Edition in Japan [w/poll]

Wed, 30 Oct 2013

The Subaru BRZ is many things: fun, affordable, communicative... but premium is not one of them. Yet that is precisely more of that upscale look and feel Subaru is going for with its new BRZ Premium Sports Edition.
Thus far exclusive to the Japanese Domestic Market, the BRZ Premium Sports Edition upgrades the standard model with unique 17-inch alloys and an interior spruced up with two-tone black and tan leather, along with contrast-stitched Alcantara trim for the instrument cluster, center console and door panels. There's also a set of aluminum pedals, metal and carbon trim, black mirror housings and more.
The luxed-up model wears a sticker price of 3,034,500 yen, which translates to about $31k. That would make it about $6k more expensive than a base BRZ in the United States, but to put it into more relevant context, the upgrades represent a 241,500 yen ($2,450) premium over the top-spec BRZ Type S in Japan. Assuming Subaru could keep that price premium intact, do you think it would be wise to offer the BRZ Premium Sports Edition in North America? Vote in our poll below, then have your say in Comments.
