2006 Subaru Wrx Wagon 5-speed: Two Adult Owners Since New. on 2040-cars

This is a very clean 2006 Subaru WRX wagon with only two adult owners since new, used as a long distance commuter vehicle hence the high mileage but always well maintained. The body is very good with no rust and the interior is very clean with no modifications from factory original. There is a small dent on the hood from a falling tree branch, photo included in the listing. Everything on this car including the AC works as intended when new and both summer and winter floor mats are included. Recent maintenance has included a complete fluid change using only synthetics oils and gear lubes, four new Continental tires, all new brake rotors and pads, new front axles, all new oil cooler hoses and seals, new secondary air pump, valves and relay. Another set of wheels is also included with winter tires. Recent NYS safety and smog inspection passed with no problems. Please note: On occasion this car throws a check engine code P420 indicating cats functioning less than optimum. The interval between codes is lessening with the use of Cat-A-Clean and I will throw in a code reader to shut off the light should it happen again. As always, no test pilots but the car is currently registered and inspected so test rides will be cheerfully given.

Subaru teases Viziv concept ahead of Geneva
Fri, 08 Feb 2013Subaru will be stocking its display at the Geneva Motor Show next month: The European debut of the Subaru Forester joins the world premiere of a diesel Outback with Lineartronic CVT and a display called Subaru 360 that showcases the "brand's history and future vision."
The genuine future-speak, however, is intended to be conveyed by the Viziv concept (click the image above to enlarge). This name "Viziv" is culled from the phrase "Vision for Innovation," and the "future-generation crossover" that bears the 25th-century name has been designed to be an embodiment of "enjoyment and peace of mind."
That's quite a holistic burden for just one crossover. In the more mundane world, the Viziv will suggest Subaru's new design and technology directions. Subaru has created a mini-site for the concept that will be updated during the show, but for now, it just lets us know that March 5 will be "the start of something exciting."
Scion FR-S Convertible (in Toyota GT86 form) spied in South Africa
Fri, 15 Feb 2013Though the eventual existence of a convertible version of the Toyota GT86 (and its Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ versions for America) is a no-brainer, we've yet to get a glimpse of the real-deal car until now.
Spotted in Cape Town, South Africa, of all places, this completely undisguised GT86 convertible seems to be in a remarkably advanced state of development. The image seen here was obviously sniped from quite a distance and without the aid of a powerful lens, but we can still make out a production-ready looking piece of rear bodywork for the convertible top to hide away in, as well as a functioning trunk lid. It's hard to make out with any certainty, based on this evidence, but there does seem to be space retained behind the front seats for two, small rear chairs.
With the first car spotted, we'd expect to seem some more and better images of it flow through in the near future, and if not, Toyota has already confirmed a concept version for next month's Geneva Motor Show, dubbed FT-86 Open, so stay tuned. Acura may go all AWD in bid to mimic Subaru's success

The Honda-owned luxury brand doesn't seem sure of where it's going or what it's trying to accomplish, with its cars and marketing lacking a coherent theme. Now, a new report from Automotive News claims that the brand could follow the success of Subaru and (to a lesser extent) Audi, and adopt all-wheel-drive as standard across its model range.
"I think that's the way we should go," Acura boss Koichi Fukuo told Automotive News.
Acura already offers some form of all-wheel drive on every vehicle in its line aside from the lamentable ILX sedan. That could change as Acura begins rolling out next-generation versions of its still relatively new stable of sedans and crossovers.
