We're having triplets and are getting a minivan!  We cannot tell you how GREAT of a car the 2011 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Limited is.  This is our 4th Subaru and we have loved every one.  We have NOTHING bad to say about it.  Fully loaded, remote-start, NON-SMOKER, no issues, no vehicle collisions, full factory transferable Subaru bumper to bumper warranty intact, 5yr or 60,000 miles!  Bid with confidence as it covers EVERYTHING!  Available to use at any Subaru of America dealership.  The vehicle was purchased brand new in August of 2010, so the bumper to bumper runs out at 60,000 miles or August of 2015!

Many of the miles are highway from multiple trips from PA to SC and PA to IL.  Highway @ 60mph cruise, you will see 38mpg from this car.  We took it to Boston and got 38.5mpg.  It's fantastic in rain or snow, and hugs the road.  Driving this car is fun!  The sports shift mode, with shifting + and - located on the steering wheel is a nice touch.  Tires have at least another 15-20,000 miles remaining.

Check out the pictures.  It's in near mint condition.  It's not brand new, so there are a few tiny, dime sized, "parking lot" dings on the passenger door, and a tiny 2" scratch on the front right rim that I saw.  Certainly nothing to write home about.  The interior is in like new condition.  The leather is in fantastic condition.  Harmon & Kardon speakers sound fantastic.

PAYMENT:  The title is not in hand, and is owned by Chase Bank.  We're in eastern PA, and will need to do the transaction at Chase Bank (75 Reaville Avenue #2, Flemington, NJ 08822), as they own the title.  An official bank Check for the winning bid, minus the deposit, should be made out to Chase Auto Finance (we'll provide the loan number for the memo section of the check once the auction ends).   I assure you, the value of the car is thousands more than the payoff owed, and by going to Chase directly, it will assure both the buyer and seller that the loan is fully paid.  Chase bank then releases the title and it takes approx. 2 business days for the title to arrive, and then it can be transferred.

WHEN DOES THE BUYER GET THE CAR:  Proof of insurance must be shown to the Seller either prior to the payoff, or by the day the payoff transaction is completed at Chase.  If the Buyer wants to drive the car home that day, he or she will need to add this legacy to their policy prior.  It's very easy to add a car to your policy, just give them the VIN: 4s3BMBK67B3216567 and make sure it goes into effect on the day we do the transaction.  The Buyer must have the insurance card present with you at the bank.  Sorry, no exceptions.  Without the insurance, we unfortunately cannot trust someone as we would be responsible if something happened, as insurance goes per the car not driver.

Warranty:  The warranty will be transferred to the Buyer as soon as the payoff is completed.  All I need to do is contact Becker Subaru (Allentown, PA) and they will take your name and address and your set.  That easy.

Please email or call me if you have any questions about the auction: bill 610-730-5795.

Please do not bid unless you have financing 100% ready to go.  Deposit via PayPal required within 24 hours following auction.

Bid with confidence!

Thanks and good luck!

Consumer Reports sneaks in early review of 2015 Subaru Outback

Wed, 21 May 2014

Subaru is taking a bit of a measured risk with its new generation of Legacy and Outback. While they ride on a slightly larger platform than before, with a revised front-end design, neither of them looks to be a radical departure from models they replace. Instead of focusing on exterior styling, the Japanese brand is trying to make the vehicles better to own with more sound deadening, improved fuel economy and more available tech. Pricing for the 2015 Outback isn't available yet, but with the 2015 Legacy pricing as a guide, it's likely a few hundred dollars more than the current model.
We just had our first stab at the new Legacy, which is slated to go on sale this summer, but Consumer Reports managed to snag an early look at the 2015 Outback in a sort of mini-review to get an idea of how the new model shakes out. Like many, we'd wager, CR isn't completely sold on the new styling, but seems otherwise moderately impressed by the upgrades. The improvements to the interior and infotainment system are especially well received by them. Naturally, though, CR notes that not everything is perfect with the high-riding wagon.
Scroll down to watch CR's preview of the new Outback and see what it thinks of this practical family hauler.

Scion trying to build business case for FR-S convertible as Subaru bows out

Tue, 28 Jan 2014

Hope may remain for a convertible version of the Scion FR-S, according to a report from Ward's Auto. You'll recall that rumors were swirling about the feasibility of a rear-drive Toyobaru convertible as early as October, and that back in November, Subaru - which makes the FR-S, Subaru BRZ and Toyota GT86 - essentially nixed the idea of an open-topped variant.
"We make the car, so if we don't make it, it can't happen," brand chief Yasuyuki Yoshinaga told Automotive News, according to Ward's, at the Tokyo Motor Show. "Our engineering department told me that losing the entire roof requires a complete redesign of the structure. It would need a big change."
Despite Yoshinaga-san's arguments against a droptop variant, Toyota is apparently still considering the model. Speaking to media at the 2014 North American International Auto Show, Scion's US vice president, Doug Murtha, hinted that the rear-drive droptop was in the works.

Toyota GT86, Scion FR-S sales disappointing worldwide?

Fri, 21 Feb 2014

Okay, folks - it appears we've got a problem. The Toyota GT86, Europe's counterpart to our own beloved Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S coupes, is apparently not selling too well. This, according to Toyota's European Vice President of Research and Development, Gerald Killman, is what's limiting plans for additional variants of the rear-drive coupe.
"A faster version of that car would be at the top of most people's wish lists, but like the cabriolet, it is hard to justify a business case to push either model into production based on the current sales," Killman told AutoExpress. "Personally, I think that engine could use a little bit more," he added.
More troubling is that slow sales aren't limited to the Euro-spec car, with Killman claiming that the GT86 have been missing sales targets in major markets around the globe. It may not be that the US is one of those major markets, though. Scion's Vice President, Doug Murtha, tells Autoblog that his brand is happy with the sales of its version of the GT86, the FR-S. 18,000 units were sold last year, which Murtha says is "generally in line with original expectations for the car."
