Open to ALL reasonable offers, similiar Legacy with less miles and no mechanical history just sold for $5500 .. Car is priced according to market, Winter is here!

2001 SUBARU Legacy GT Limited AWD with Remote Start

For sale is a 01 Legacy with 171,500 miles and counting as it is my daily commuter car. (Car is driven daily from Bethlehem PA to King of Prussia PA via 476 Turnpike)

The car is a LIMITED model so it has leather, wood grain, power drivers seat, p locks, p windows, p sunroof, fog lights, etc

Very safe car with driver, passenger, and SIDE air bags.

Car is in good used condition with paint average for 12 year old car and interior in great / well above average condition, leather is excellent.

Car is All Wheel Drive and feels very safe in rain, snow, and corners great.

Gas mileage is good 26+ on highway and 22+ in-town

4cyl is quick on take offs and reasonable at highway speeds.

Ride is smooth, never felt the transmission shift rough.

The car was purchased with approximately 132,000 miles and over the past two years has been used as my commuter car (all highway) as my wife has the family SUV for the weekends.

MECHANICS:

Initially the car had multiple mechanical problems common to Subarus so the following have been addressed for your peace of mind:

(I have most reciepts)

-Top end rebuilt with machined heads and all new gaskets

-New timing belt

-New water pump

-New Tires only 4k miles on them

-New battery

-AC lines & hoses replaced

-Recent front brakes pads and rotors (like new)

-Rear brake pads (more than half)

-Inspected until 7/14

-Oil changed 1k miles ago

(Approx $2900 in repairs)

ADDITIONS:

-Yakima Bike and Ski Rack: 2 bike trays with locks, ski racks (not pictured), cross bars, q-tower mounting feet, and fairing. Approx $700 in parts

-Remote Starter: 2 Remotes (see pics) cools black car in summer and defrost / warms in winter. Approx $250.00

-Tinted windows Aprox $200 (can be easily removed if not for you)

-Original key fob and owners manual

IMPERFECTIONS:

-Hand size dent in front passenger side fender (see pic with hand)

-Golf ball size dent in rear passenger fender above wheel (see pic with thumb)

-Business card size bubbling rust spot on rear drivers side fender above wheel (see pic with business card) seems to be contained to the surface

-Multiple smalls nicks, scrapes, scratches expected from any used car

-Back passenger side door needs to be lubed as it opens and shuts perfectly on line and smoothly, but requires a little muscle

-Radio display is burnt-out, radio works - just have to scan to find the stations you like then program the channels in (not a big deal) clock is on the dash so can still see time, CD player works great, tape player not sure (don't own a cassette)

-Residual plasti-dip paint on wheel lip and spokes (can easliy be removed with fingers and patience) see pic

BOTTOM LINE:

Attractive, used, SAFE and DEPENDABLE vehicle I would put my wife and child in and drive across the US.

I am an easy going guy, but there are a few eBayers who like to question your item, price and market value in an effort to make low ball offers...

If you can find a used, safe, attractive car with a documented mechanical history like this one for less money ... then buy it!

I welcome all REASONABLE offers; however, please note the Yakima roof rack and accessories will NOT BE INCLUDED at any price other than the BUY IT NOW option.  If you would like to make an offer and purchase the racks seperately, then we can work something out.

Local Pick Up and Payment with Cash or Certified Bank Check

Car can be seen in Bethlehem, Lansdale, King of Prussia, Ardmore

Subaru gives Aussies BRZ Sports Pack

Mon, 08 Jul 2013

Well, it might not be exactly the Subaru BRZ STI that we've all been waiting for, but Australian market shoppers are now going to have the option of adding some STI flavor to their coupe, with this new BRZ S.
Critically, the Sports Pack upgrades included in the S specification do not involve forced induction of any kind for the BRZ's 2.0-liter flat-four mill. Instead, the BRZ S will offer a novel flexible strut tower brace and a coilover suspension to aid its already impressive handling prowess. Visually, the car gets a new aero kit with lowered skirts and a new front and rear splitter, as well as some mean-looking, 17-inch black wheels. Inside, a new gearlever and a STI-branded starter button will call out the S model.
The S package can be ordered on a new BRZ and fitted at the dealer, or added to an existing customer car. When ordered new, the BRZ S adds $7,995 Australian - about $7,275 US including installation - to the price of the six-speed manual car, or $7,195 Australian ($6,547 US) for the six-speed automatic transmission model. That's a pretty fat wedge of cash, but it's worth bearing in mind that Australians generally pay significantly more for new cars than we do here in the States. For instance, the BRZ starts at $37,150 Australian, nearly $34k US. Even accounting for regional equipment differences, that's a lot more than the BRZ's $26,265 as-delivered base MSRP here in America.

Subaru Legacy pitted against Roadkill project cars

Fri, 05 Sep 2014

There's an evergreen debate among auto enthusiasts about whether they would prefer to have the latest and greatest car of today or a certified classic from yesteryear. What if you had to further define that, though, and the choice was between a brand new 2015 Subaru Legacy or a turbocharged Datsun 240Z with a hatch that wouldn't close? Roadkill aimed to find out that and more in one of its best videos to date.
According to the hosts, Subaru came to them, handed over some money and challenged Roadkill's project cars against its latest Legacy. The result is every bit as good (or better) than any automotive-themed show you could find on television.
Things start simple with a figure-eight race in a rodeo arena with the Subaru taking on Roadkill's 1968 Ford Ranchero, originally built for ice racing. From there the Legacy races a 1968 Dodge Charger with no windows around and off-road rally stage. Finally, the Subie goes head-to-head against the Rotsun, the aforementioned turbocharged 240Z, through an abandoned neighborhood. Plus, there's a bonus drag race challenging them all.
