For Sale: Up for sale is my 2002 Subaru WRX wagon. It has a 5 speed transmission and the Odometer currently reads 232,000 miles but the entire drivetrain was replaced at 202,000 miles with a 2005 wrx motor with only 62,000 miles on it making current mileage on the motor, transmission and clutch around 92,000. It has Currently had most suspension parts replaced including a brand new subframe. Has brand new rotors and brake pads the whole way around and replaced rear struts. Fresh inspection as of two weeks ago. This car is currently running a stage 2 tune from turboxs. Mods include ported stock turbo, catless downpipe, full exhaust, short ram intake, and turboxs Delta engine management. Currently running a very conservative tune at 17.5 psi. If desired much more can be squeezed out of it by just hooking up your laptop and changing parameters. Also has JDM STI short shifter, and JDM hood scoop which is a full inch taller for better airflow to the intercooler, also has rear tie bar installed in the cargo area. Windows have 20 percent tint the whole way around and blacked out tail lights and side markers. Tires are like new. Interior is in great shape with no rips or tears. Only issues are a spot on the drivers side front bumper from hitting a rock and stone chips on the hood and above the drivers side side skirt. Also needs an AC belt if you want AC as the previous owner took it off to gain more HP but it does work
just fine. Other than that just small dings and blemishes you would expect from a 12 year old
vehicle. There has been a tremendous amount of time and money put into this vehicle over
the last year to turn it into a like new vehicle with a good turbocharged punch so my loss os your
gain This vehicle can appeal to almost anyone as it is a great all year round family vehicle with the
AWD and 4 door wagon cargo space or it can be a car that can be tracked and auto crossed with
the performance mods it has. It has been my daily driver since I've had it and my two children fit
comfortably in their car seats in the back. This vehicle runs and handles as if it were new and I wouldn't be afraid to take it anywhere. Clear Title in hand. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs but I will help as much as possible with finding a shipping company if need be. Item is for sale locally and may be sold before auction ends therefore I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime. Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!

Subaru Cross Sport Design Concept is a BRZ with a backpack

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

Sports cars are a notoriously tough sell over the long-term. Like convertibles, sales of even the best sports cars tend to be front-loaded in the first couple of years, at which point they drop off like a stone. That may serve to explain this mysterious two-door wagonback concept from Subaru, dubbed Cross Sport Design Concept.
While details aren't exactly thick on the ground, at first blush, this appears to be a higher-riding BRZ with a more utilitarian backpack. Reports suggest the rear-wheel-drive sports coupe's chassis is riding underneath, despite the fact that the Cross Sport is 2.6 inches longer overall. Assuming the chassis itself is basically unmodified and the 2.0-liter, flat, four-cylinder engine is untouched, this could be a very effective way for Subaru to increase its return on investment in the BRZ's underpinnings while generating a very cool (if niche) shooting brake model.
With the exception of a few bits of concept car frosting (wood-lined cargo bay floor, overly-detailed steroscopic camera mounts, slivered side mirrors, etc.), this thing looks production ready, and that's just ducky with us.

2015 Subaru WRX

Mon, 16 Dec 2013

Every time I drive a Subaru WRX, I wish one of my parents had taken some weird, top-secret spy job that would have forced us to relocate to Finland when I was a kid. I could have learned the art of rally-style car control as a young lad, and in my adult life, sought out a dangerous/rewarding/awesome career as a professional WRC driver.
Never was that more clear than on the launch program for the new 2015 WRX, where Subaru pointed us down a long, somewhat treacherous stretch of road in the tree-lined mountains of northern California. Quick elevation changes were met with blind turns and washed-out shoulders, not to mention rogue bits of snow, ice and gravel that lined the apexes of nearly every turn. Here, I couldn't stop grinning, my co-driver and I switching between second and third gears, with precise steering inputs and judicious braking keeping us safely on the road and not plummeting nose-first into the trees. And the WRX simply devoured each inch of pavement with a ferocious poise that made me remember why I have loved this car so darn much.
But this sort of 100 Acre Wood perfection isn't the only way to experience Subaru's darling WRX. After a long stint of driving back down the California coast on Highway 1, I realized that Subaru's line about this being the best-driving WRX yet wasn't just a bunch of PR mumbo-jumbo. Of course, it isn't without a few compromises...

Watch Higgins' mind-blowing Subaru WRX STI Isle of Man record lap in first-person

Fri, 27 Jun 2014

Have you gotten sick of Subaru and the Isle of Man? Good, we'd hope not, because of all the videos we've posted so far, today's is the crown jewel. In-car, around the notoriously treacherous race track, with commentary from David Higgins himself.
It gets better, though. Overlaid with the video is the same biometric data that we showed you last week. The result is a heart-pumping, 22-minute video of the record-breaking sprint around the entirety of the Isle of Man TT circuit at a truly wild pace. Higgins commentary, meanwhile, simply adds to the experience of hurtling across the landscape. Subaru has also put together a second video, highlighting the WRX STI that was used in the lap.
You can view both of those videos, as well as a short press release from Subaru, below. Scroll down and take a look.
