Typical "I'm selling my baby" story. I have put more money into this car than what I originally bought it for, but it's time to move on. My loss is your gain.
The car has 116,xxx miles on the chassis but at 100,000 miles I had the bottom end completely rebuilt with performance parts and installed a Garrett GT35R turbo with external waste gate and dump tube (scream tube), 1100cc fuel injectors, Walbro fuel pump, and converted to E85. The car was broke in and then open source tuned on the dyno and put down 440 whp with 465 ft. lbs. of torque. @ 24 pounds of boost.
If you're not looking for a race car then you have the wrong car.
The car will pass emissions with the factory downpipe installed which I will provide.
The body has some imperfections mainly because I put all of the money into the rest of the car.
I recently installed slotted racing brake rotors and race brake pads on all 4 wheels.
The suspension is TEIN Flex coil overs with adjustable dampers
The stereo is a touch screen DVD player with bypass switch to watch w/o parking brake engaged.
I also have a 12" sub and amp if you fancy
The monster gauge cluster in the dash has 3 Red Defi Guages to match the main gauge cluster (boost, EGT, oil temp)
Other mods include:
HKS Super Sequential BOV
HKS cold air intake
HKS digital boost controller
HKS exhaust
Invidia downpipe
Turbo XS front mount intercooler
Stage 3 racing clutch
Engine block heater (E85 has a hard time igniting in the cold)
I'm sure I'm forgetting some things
I have invested a lot of money and my life into this car and have had a lot of fun.
There are other WRX's and STI's for sale at this price but this car is faster than all of them.
The only cars I've lost to have been super cars.
So like I said if you want a race car this is the one.
So in relation to that, test drives will only be given to extremely serious buyers with cash in hand.
feel free to email me with any questions or concerns about the car, thanks for looking !!!

2014 Subaru Forester scores 5 stars in NHTSA crash test [w/video]

Fri, 23 Aug 2013

Having aced the crash test from Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and earning the highest rating of Top Safety Pick+, the 2014 Subaru Forester headed over to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for a date with destruction. In the barrage of NHTSA tests, the new Forester met similar results as it did with the IIHS, earning a five-star overall crash rating.
Comparing these number to the previous model, which carried a four-star rating in all areas, the new Forester did much better in the side-impact test to earn a full five stars; frontal and rollover ratings were still at four stars like the old model, but the improved side crashworthiness was enough to gain the NHTSA's highest overall rating. The frontal impact video is posted below, but all the various test videos can be seen on NHTSA's website.

2015 Subaru Legacy is fresh-faced and more frugal

Thu, 06 Feb 2014

While Subaru posted its best sales year ever in the United States in 2013, over half of its sales came from the success of the new Forester and popularity of the Outback. Its midsize Legacy sedan, on the other hand, saw sales tumble 10.3 percent. The company known for its all-wheel drive models hopes to right that trajectory with the 2015 Legacy. The all-new sedan sees a slight bump in fuel economy and a commitment to giving buyers a better product to compete against segment stalwarts like the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry.
The refreshed sedan wears Subaru's new design language, which was teased by the Legacy Concept at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. However, the production version takes the hard, crisp lines down several notches, and it is bordering on boring at first glance. The best detail of the new design is the new hexagonal shield grille at the front that lends a little upscale panache over the current car's simple, rectangular front end. The coupe-like roofline has also been toned down from the concept, but it does smooth out the rear better than the current gen.
The Legacy's engines are carried over almost identically from last year's car. However both flavors of manual transmission are finally bowing out; all models now come with Subaru's Lineartronic CVT. Output from the 2.5-liter boxer four-cylinder sees a slight bump to 175 horsepower (2 hp more than last year's model) and 174 pound-feet of torque. The 3.6-liter boxer six-cylinder is unchanged at 256 hp and 247 lb-ft. Fuel economy benefits from the new platform with the 2.5-liter model rated at an estimated 26/36/30 miles per gallon city/highway/combined, a boost of 2/4/3 mpg, respectively, over the previous generation. The 3.6-liter also sees a modest rise to 20/28/23 mpg, 2/3/3 mpg better respectively. Fairly impressive figures for an all-wheel-drive, midsize sedan.

Consumer Reports sneaks in early review of 2015 Subaru Outback

Wed, 21 May 2014

Subaru is taking a bit of a measured risk with its new generation of Legacy and Outback. While they ride on a slightly larger platform than before, with a revised front-end design, neither of them looks to be a radical departure from models they replace. Instead of focusing on exterior styling, the Japanese brand is trying to make the vehicles better to own with more sound deadening, improved fuel economy and more available tech. Pricing for the 2015 Outback isn't available yet, but with the 2015 Legacy pricing as a guide, it's likely a few hundred dollars more than the current model.
We just had our first stab at the new Legacy, which is slated to go on sale this summer, but Consumer Reports managed to snag an early look at the 2015 Outback in a sort of mini-review to get an idea of how the new model shakes out. Like many, we'd wager, CR isn't completely sold on the new styling, but seems otherwise moderately impressed by the upgrades. The improvements to the interior and infotainment system are especially well received by them. Naturally, though, CR notes that not everything is perfect with the high-riding wagon.
Scroll down to watch CR's preview of the new Outback and see what it thinks of this practical family hauler.
