2006 Subaru Forester XT Limited. Very low original verified miles. Second owner, always adult driven and maintained. Garage kept. No salty roads. Has large moonroof, leather interior, power everything. Engine and drivetrain are all original and unmodified. Runs excellent and has ZERO issues. Transmission shifts perfect. No leaks, No noises. I have done all service and maintenance myself. The paint is black and it is 8 years old. I would give it a 7 out of 10. There are a few scuffs and a couple small door dings that were on it when I bought it. I have kept the paint polished and waxed, it shows VERY well for it's age. Options that I have added, "SPORTS EDITION" front nose and headlight/taillights with carbon fiber front spoiler. 18x8 Rota wheels with Nitto NT555 245/45-18 tires with only 3-4k miles on them. Climb to the Clouds returning thanks to Subaru title sponsorship [w/video]
Wed, 31 Jul 2013The Mt. Washington Hillclimb, otherwise known as the Climb to the Clouds, hasn't been done since 2011. That year, Subaru Rally Team USA driver David Higgins set a new record for the event first held in 1904, running the 7.6-mile vertiginous course in 6:11.54. The race will be return in 2014 with the help of that very carmaker, Subaru of America having stepped in to the title sponsor role for what will be the Subaru Mt. Washington Hillclimb.
Taking place from June 26-29, 75 modern and vintage cars will spend three days racing up the 6,288-foot-high mountain. It's not as long nor as high as Pikes Peak, but it does have something that the Colorado competition doesn't: gravel; about 13 percent of the Mt. Washington Carriage Road still hasn't been paved.

NHTSA releases updated Takata airbag recalled cars list, but it still has errors

Unfortunately, the government's list still contains errors.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued an updated list of vehicle models that it's urging owners to repair under the mushrooming Takata airbag inflator recall. The latest version adds vehicles from new automakers like Subaru and Ford that are missing from the original announcement, and it also removes erroneous entries from General Motors, leaving only the 2005 Saab 9-2X (a reskinned Subaru WRX), and the 2003-2005 Pontiac Vibe, a joint project with Toyota.
Subaru teasing new WRX S4 model ahead of Japanese debut
Fri, 25 Jul 2014The Subaru WRX range is growing just a little bit larger, at least in Japan, with the automaker's teasing announcement of a new version called the S4. Unfortunately, the company is keeping details about its latest all-wheel drive sport sedan a closely guarded secret for the moment.
From what we can glean, it appears that the S4 might be a more luxurious take on the WRX. According to the release, the name stands for the four qualities that Subaru wants the sedan to have: "'Sports performance', 'Safety performance', 'Smart driving' and 'Sophisticated feel.'" As part of this focus, the car comes with the company's EyeSight camera system. Thankfully, we don't have too long to wait to find out what all of the buzz words actually mean because Subaru is unveiling the S4 on August 25 in Japan.
The automaker also launched a teaser website for the S4 that you can cheek out, here, but at the moment it doesn't provide any more details about the new sport sedan. The site just has countdown until the August reveal. There's also no indication yet whether this potentially more premium WRX could make it US shores.
