2004 Scion Xb Base Wagon 5-door 1.5l on 2040-cars

US $6,995.00
Year:2004 Mileage:125010 Color: is marked here and there with paint transfer and scuffs in a few areas
Location:

I bought this car new in Dec ’03 at Toyota of Glendora Ca.   In addition to regular 4-5k mile oil changes, it was serviced 5/07 by Toyota at 65k for scheduled maintenance, again 10/09 at 96k with a water pump and the routine 100k service.  In 9/13, the 120k service was performed at Toyota in Palm Springs and included brakes.  I have all keys, docs and everything else since new.  The car runs great and I think it has a long life ahead.  The car shows some use because I have transported lumber, cement, hardware, bricks and everything else anybody would need to work on and fix up a personal residence over a period of years.  As a result, the dash, on the passenger side is a bit scuffed from lumber rubbing on it.  Also the interior plastic molding around the hatch is scuffed for the same reason.  The exterior is marked here and there with paint transfer and scuffs in a few areas.  The front bumper has some paint transfer from rubbing against a carport post.  The right side has some white paint transfer from the white car next to mine opening its door because the spaces are narrow and the guy is fat.  There seems to be a bit of transfer on the left rear bumper which I have only just noticed while taking these pictures.  There is a small dent shown on the right front fender in the picture.  The Michelin tires were new in May ’09 at 88K, but show good remaining tread per the pics.  The windshield had rock impacts and was replaced 2/14.  Everything works fine.  The only reason I’m selling the car is that after ten years, I just want a change.  (Probably a mistake.)  It’s been the best and most practical car I’ve ever owned and I’d like it to go to someone who’ll give it a good home. Included is a Magellan Roadmate 9250T-LMB 7" GPS with lifetime updates. Vehicle has 125,010 miles right now.

Scion reveals iM concept ahead of LA debut

Wed, 12 Nov 2014

After dropping a teaser image on us a few weeks ago, Scion has revealed in full the new iM Concept it's bringing to the Los Angeles Auto Show next week. As expected, the concept is clearly a rebadged version of the Euro-market Toyota Auris, only with some "European Racing Circuit Styling" upgrades to make it look more aggressive.
Along with the Scion logos, the five-door hatch is treated to a deeper air dam flanked by angular vents with stacked fog lamps, beefed-up wheel arches linked by widened side sills and filled with 19-inch, anthracite-finish alloys on low-profile rubber. Vented brake discs and four-piston calipers join an adjustable suspension as show-worthy equipment upgrades.
The sporty treatment continues around back with a similarly aggressive rear bumper and roof spoiler. Even the wing mirrors are replaced with narrower units. Little wonder it's all done up in a shade Scion calls "incrediblue" that looks rather similar to what sister-brand Lexus would put on one of its F-branded performance models - or for that matter what corporate ally Subaru would put on an STI hot hatches like the WRX.

Scion xB death sentence uncertain, minor updates announced

Mon, 10 Dec 2012

The last time we discussed the Scion xB and xD, in April of this year, it was to announce a report that both models were being killed. The vice president of the brand had said, "We don't have plans for a direct xB or xD replacement," but no date was given for the termination. Turns out rumors of their deaths have been greatly exaggerated: as part of a Toyota press release that summarized feature and pricing changes for 2013, the Scion xB was included.
The 2013 hatchback (above) gets a new front bumper and lower fascia with LED lighting, and the rear end gets a black diffuser. Stingray Metallic and Elusive Blue Metallic exterior hues will disappear, Absolutely Red and Nautical Blue Metallic will take their places. Inside will be light bronze metallic and chrome accents, as well as new seat fabric and the availability of the BeSpoke Premium Audio. It increases in price by $500, the manual costing $16,800, the automatic $17,750.
The xD (inset) has been left off the list and the Scion website it still hawking the 2012 car. But 2013 xD pricing and new features were announced earlier this year, the MSRP rising by $125 to $16,500. New equipment and options includes smoked headlight covers, more airbags and a two-tone paint job.

2014 Scion tC taps into its inner FR-S

Thu, 28 Mar 2013

Cashing in on some of the excitement surrounding the FR-S, Scion has given its front-wheel drive coupe a refreshed look at the New York Auto Show. When the 2014 Scion tC shows up at dealers this June, the entry-level coupe with have an improved exterior styling to give the car a sportier appearance while also adding some new cabin tech and an updated six-speed automatic transmission.
The new face of the tC includes an oversized lower grille very similar to the FR-S, but reshaped headlights, hood and vertical lower accent lights also creates a more dynamic look for this budget-priced coupe. At the rear of the car, clear-lensed taillights and a blacked-out lower diffuser finishes the major styling changes. Inside, a new touchscreen audio system also includes Bluetooth connectivity, and the optional Scion BeSpoke Premium Audio includes navigation and Aha Internet radio app.
Building on the tC's sportier image, the automatic transmission adds a little extra excitement as well with a new manual shift mode and a rev-matching, throttle-blipping feature. For better driving dynamics, Scion also promises a more rigid body structure and enhanced suspension components. Scroll down to read all about the 2014 tC in the official press release.
