 2006 SAAB 95 W/Aero Package

Color: Metallic Black....Transmission: Automatic....122,000.....Price$8,500

We bought it form a former airplane pilot who routinely serviced this car at Luxury Motors of Downers Grove in Chicago. We purchased the car and had it close cover transported to SAAB of Troy for the rest of the warranty work, then off to Ann Arbor MI, where K&N(indie SAAB specialist) took over the service of the car. This car performs very well in all conditions and everything works perfect, it has the visibility package and 1 of 200 that was aero badged, aluminum dash and door treatments for the year 2006. The paint on the car is the special ordered black metallic which is in great shape by being meticulously hand waxed in the shade with carnuba paste, professional black plasti-dip factory wheels that can peel off easily to original silver if you prefer(also served as a protection to thee original silver finish of the wheel). Interior is perfect, drivers seat in great condition, no dash cracks or anything else mention. Front xenon headlights was both replaced at the sometime, tires are Sumitomo with 70% wear left on them. All done are: D.I ignition, crack sensor, bypass valve, full tuneup, serp belt, battery, throttle body, and all oil changes are done with Elf synthetic oil. Car is extremely fast and only should be driven by someone who knows how to properly transfer the power correctly. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere in the country, right now its set up to seriously driver another 600,000 + miles with proper SAAB care.

*Hopefully the will be sold to a person that has equal knowledge of owning a super car like the 95 Aero

Saab 900 SPG is the latest Petrolicious love story

Thu, 03 Oct 2013

The latest video from the crew at Petrolicious covers one funky Swede - a 1989 Saab 900 SPG. Produced from 1978 to 1998, the 900 enjoyed a long history, and thanks to its iconic look, it's quickly becoming a modern classic for the off-kilter car enthusiast. The SPG, short for Special Performance Group, makes this a particularly rare find, with owner Jordan Melville saying, "I didn't even realize what I had at the time."
Melville gives a rundown of his life with the 900 and his passion for Saab overall, even reflecting on that dark day that saw the Swedish brand closed its doors. As always, the videography is excellent and the story is intriguing in this latest video from Petrolicious. You can view the entire video down below.

Super sleeper Saab 900 does 174 mph in the standing mile

Sun, 14 Apr 2013

Somewhere behind Hennessey setting a new top speed record at this year's Texas Mile with its camouflage Ford GT, a stock-looking 1996 Saab 900T pulled up to the line to see what it could do. The dealer showroom wheels wouldn't offer any indication that the 2.0-liter four-cylinder under the hood was getting help from a Garrett turbocharger, a tuned ECU and E85 gas to put out 465 horsepower at the front wheels.
Knowing that, it shouldn't be too much of a surprise that at the other end of the mile the sky blue Swedish wonder was doing 174 miles per hour. The four-cylinder class at the Texas Mile has plenty such rockets, too, this Swede coming just behind a Dodge Neon that did 175.8 mph. You can watch the Saab do its thing in the video below.

Spyker and Youngman sign deal, plan to build D8 SUV and Phoenix-based range

Mon, 27 Aug 2012

It appears Spyker is strengthen its ties and carmaking ability with Chinese carmaker Youngman. This comes in the wake of the brand's latest dealings with a $3 billion lawsuit against General Motors regarding the demise of Saab.
Youngman is reportedly investing €10,000,000 ($12.5M USD) for a 29.9-percent stake in the company. The shares are being sold for €0.05 (6.3 cents) each, representing a fully diluted share. Youngman has said it will not take on more than the 29.9-percent stake.
Additionally, Youngman will invest €25,000,000 ($31M) for the development of an all-new Spyker vehicle, called the D8 P2P, named for the Peking-to-Paris rally. The vehicle had been shown as a concept by Spyker previously, but things had been quiet since then. It appears Spyker will now build the uniquely styled D8 Concept shown above. The vehicle is to launch at the end of 2014 and carry a price of $250,000 per vehicle.
