2012 Porsche Cayenne Turbo Sport Utility 4-door 4.8l on 2040-cars
Phoenix, Arizona, United States
Selling our beloved and Martini Racing adorned Cayenne Turbo. At this price, you'd be a fool to buy the S or GTS. There is no substitute for a 500hp family car. If you are in the market for this kind of ride then you probably already know there is nothing that compares to the Cayenne Turbo. X5 M is nice, but it is just not quite on this level. The seats (18 way heated and cooled) are the most comfortable on the market and the car is Crazy fun to drive while achieving very respectable MPG.
We are only selling because construction costs on the wife's new house are getting slightly uncomfortable. Personally, I'd rather live in the Cayenne and let the wife and kids fend for themselves, the sell her. Sadly, she makes the dough, and the decisions. She's actually pretty cool, she let me buy the Turbo, AND get the vinyl stripes. I can say without hesitation that this Cayenne is an absolute joy to own, drive and has not had a single issue. By the end of the auction I will have the 40K service completed. Service intervals are every 10K. I will sell early for the right price, but don't bug me with low ball non-sense. I'm more than happy to keep it and sell a vital organ to get her the ginormous 3' x 4' polished and honed travertine floors. Please call with any questions, I'll try to choke back the tears during the call. Truly, I have loved and cared for this car perhaps more than is healthy. She has been pampered and driven with respect and professionalism, and I can assure you are buying a beautiful, amazing car that you can obsess over as well. The Electric TOY CARS ARE NOT for sale. I'll be happy to assist in shipping or drive it down for the right price. Might be difficult to pry my fingers off the supple heated leather steering wheel when I arrive though. Call anytime and happy bidding on the 1 of a kind Martini Racing Cayenne Turbo. $1000.00 due within 24 hours of end of auction. No taxes on private party sale. Rich (602) 568-3143 PS. Did I mention RED SEAT BELTS? So cool! |

EVO "2012 Car of the Year: The Track Battles" is a sports car salmagundi
Sun, 25 Nov 2012EVO has come out with another gotta-watch-it video, throwing its 2012 Car of the Year contestants around the UK's 1.5-mile Blyton Park track. It's actually a 15-minute teaser for the full-length DVD detailing the magazine's Car of the Year selection, but the tease is worth every penny free second.
Tiff Needell and sports car racer Richard Meaden handle the wheel duties, the two driving five pairs of sports cars: Lotus Exige S vs. Porsche Boxster S, Morgan Three-Wheeler vs. Toyota GT86, BMW M135i vs. Porsche 911, Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series vs. Alpina B3 GT3, the marquee event pits the McLaren MP4-12C vs. the Pagani Huayra. After a head-to-head lap with commentary during drifts, Meaden takes each car out to set a representative lap time.
You'll find the verdicts, lots of tire smoke, and lines like "Anything you can do sideways I can do sideways" in the video below.
Porsche 911 GT2 caught testing, is super bad
Thu, 27 Jun 2013Look what spy photographers have spotted sprinting around the Nürburgring. Our shooters nabbed a few photos of the all-new Porsche 911 GT2 in its native habitat without any of the bulky camouflage or cladding we're used to seeing. The result is our first truly clear view at the upcoming successor to the GT2 throne. From the looks of it, the new model will boast wider fender arches front and rear, and hefty air intakes set into the machine's hips should help feed a beastly 3.8-liter flat six-cylinder engine. Early guesses put the engine output somewhere around 560 horsepower.
Mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, the engine should propel this rear-engined heathen to 62 miles per hour in under three seconds. Top speed? Try somewhere around 200 mph. If that's true, the next-generation 911 GT2 will be the fastest 911 in Porsche history.
Porsche recalling 4,400 911, Boxster and Cayman models over hood latches
Mon, 03 Nov 2014Porsche has issued a "precautionary" and voluntary safety recall affecting some 4,400 sports cars across the globe. Here in the United States, the recall includes 1,382 911, Boxster convertibles and Cayman coupes, all of which are from model years 2014 and 2015.
Porsche will be replacing the lock bracket for the front cargo area (the frunk) after internal testing revealed that, while the vehicles meet "strength requirements," specific parts might not meet the company's quality standards throughout the vehicle's life. There have been no reports of accidents or injuries.
Owners of the affected cars will be notified within 60 days and will need to report to a nearby dealer for a free repair, which should take about 30 minutes.
