2006 Porsche Boxster Base Convertible 2-door 2.7l on 2040-cars
Copperhill, Tennessee, United States
I have a 2006 Porsche Boxster with 57,000 miles on it I am the second owner of this car. This Boxster is in excellent condition, black outside and camel inside which is hard to find. The windows are tented and has Porsche black out kit, it looks good. I just spent $1,000 on tire, and had it serviced just recently. It is a 5 speed trans and Borla exhaust with twin pipes. It also has 19" wheels which are hard to find. The previous owner had the sport package put on at the factory and makes it look just like an S. It has Bose stereo that is loud. This thing is FAST. It also has a car cover and low jack car alarm system from Porsche. I took it to Porsche in Chattanooga for service work and they were so amazed at the paint and how good it looked the sales rep was comparing this car to the new ones thats how good this car looks. There is not one scratch on this car and there is nothing wrong with it. I purchased this car three years ago when it had 50,000 miles on it I hate to see it go but its time for a more family car. We have not driven it much and its time for the toys to go. The title is clean, clear, and in my hand so no fooling with banks to get the title or any of that. I have babied this car and it has been adult driven its whole life no teenage hot roding or any of that it has been in the garage it whole life and only in the rain when on trips. This is a low reserve auction. an excellent car and a great buy don't let this one get away.

Road & Track names its 2013 Performance Car of the Year
Thu, 14 Nov 2013Road & Track recently staged its first annual Performance Car of the Year test, pitting 13 new and updated performance cars against each other on track, then graduating the top six to a road test before picking a winner. Additionally, the magazine staff picked the best automobiles of the year in eight categories.
But first, let's cover the PCotY segment. Here's the list of cars brought to the comparison test: Audi R8 V10 Plus; BMW 435i; BMW M6 Competition Package; Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Z51; Ferrari F12 Berlinetta; Ford Fiesta ST; Jaguar F-Type V8 S; Jaguar XFR-S; Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S-Model Wagon; Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series; Mini John Cooper Works GP; Nissan GT-R Track Edition; and Porsche Cayman S.
To find out the results of the comparison, head over to Road & Track's website or check the press release below, where you'll also find the magazine's top-rated vehicles in eight categories. Want more? Head over to the 2013 PCotY hub. But before you do that, take a stab at guessing the winner of PCotY (we'll give you one hint: it isn't a Porsche).
Jack Olsen built one Porsche to do it all
Wed, 23 Jan 2013Jack Olsen has built himself a lair called the 12-Gauge Garage, and inside that garage he built a lairy Porsche 911 nicknamed Black Beauty II. Although it looks like one of Stuttgart's models from the sixties or seventies, it is actually four decades of 911 gubbins from 1965 to 2000 thrown under one shell: the lightweight body is from 1972, the transaxle from 1977, the brakes from a 1986 Turbo, the engine from 1995, for example. It weighs 2,400 pounds and it's got 272 horsepower to get it going, but it's still a pure Porsche, Olsen saying, "If you stop thinking about what you're doing, it will remind you in very abrupt ways."
Olsen said the real point has been to have one car that does it all, so he does everything in his 911 from neighborhood runs to 7-11 to track racing - he loads the aero bits in the car and bolts them on trackside. And he says he'll never stop tweaking the suspension.
You can watch and hear the rest in Olsen's words in the video below.
Evo sets up duel of Porsche 911s
Thu, 20 Mar 2014What's better, rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive? That question has occupied auto enthusiasts for years, and so far, we've not really had a solid answer one way or the other. Evo has opted to take another whack at this tough question by pairing a pair of Porsche 911s against each other for a track battle.
In one corner, we have the two-wheel-drive 911 Carrera S, complete with the lickity-split PDK transmission, a sports suspension and carbon-ceramic brakes. In the other corner, it's the all-wheel-drive 911 Carrera 4S in a much mellower spec, with a seven-speed manual, as well as standard brakes and suspension. While the results seem like they'd be a foregone conclusion, some very British weather is there to act as the great equalizer.
We've got the full video down below. Have a look, and let us know if you agree with Evo's results.
