1987 Porsche 944 **Low mileage, clean Car Fax, excellent condition and the best color combo** For sale is my Porsche 944 in bright Guards Red with Black/Linen interior. This car is in exceptional condition both inside and out. The interior is in great shape with a well preserved dash, the seats have no rips and the carpets are excellent. This model has electric windows, cruise control, power seats, an original Blaupunkt cassette and air conditioning. The car also has a CD stereo that can be fitted to the car if preferred, it will be supplied with the car. The air is ice cold and the heater is extremly hot. The car is very original and has the original sunroof bag, air compressor with original Porsche bag and full tool kit. It also has a stack of invoices with work totalling around $9,000 for all the up keeping of this car. Cam belt change, water pump and so on. It has brand new tires all round fitted 3 weeks ago (cost $620) and also has the original period Phone Dial wheels (in mint condition) with brand new tires as well, both sets come with the car. No expense has been spared on this car at all....... It also has the master key and also a second as the spare. It drive beautifully, starts without any smoke and has zero leaks. It's tights, firm, pulls well and feels amazing for a 27 year old classic car. I looked for over 8 months and saw 9 different 944 before buying this one (very rare to find a 944 like this anymore). I bought the car for my wife as a wedding anniversary gift to drive into our local village on the weekends. Her favorite movie is 16 Candles and so if you have seen the movie the Guards Red Porsche 944 is a iconic car, unfortunatly she can't/won't drive a stick so have no use for it. With only 54,000 miles, all work having been done to keep the car excellent and with condition like this it's a very rare car indeed. I live in Westport Connecticut and the car is in my heated Garage. Payment and pickup of the car within 5 days of auction ending. Please note the car will be sold with the original period steering wheel and not the Club Sport one shown on the interior picture. This is a classic car so I cant offer any warranty, this is sold as seen. But for the year its about as good as it gets. I am relisting this car due to a "fake" bidder. Porsche 911 RSR in bizarre, terrifying rally crash
Sun, 22 Sep 2013As far as rally crashes go, this one is pretty terrifying. At this month's Hellendoorn Rally, Harry Kleinjan failed to negotiate a turn and drove his Porsche 911 RSR straight into a Jersey barrier, flipping the car into the river.
While it's unclear what caused the accident, German Car Scene notes, "We can see his brakes locking up ahead of the impact, which also ripped both driver's side wheels off, so it may be a case of ill-judged late braking, locking brakes or a jammed throttle." Us? We're betting it might have been bad pace notes. Fortunately for Harry and his co-driver, all indications are that no one was hurt. This FL man accused of stealing drivers licenses has best tattoo ever
Thu, 10 Jul 2014Bentley and Porsche are two of the jewels in Volkswagen Group's luxury brand crown, but in Florida they also have a very tenuous connection with crime. With his multiple face and neck tattoos, including a Bentley logo right between his eyes, Derek Denesevich (pictured above) has been charged with the surprising crime of alleged identity theft. He recently surrendered to a Florida court, and could face seven years in prison, if convicted.
You might wonder where Porsche fits into this. According to the Sun Sentinel, Denesevich's accomplice was one Porscha Kyles, who worked for the Broward Clerk of Courts. She allegedly used her access to driver's license records to steal information and sell it to Denesevich. He is then accused of filing fraudulent income taxes to recoup the refund checks.
According to the Sentinel, Kyles has already pleaded guilty to conspiracy and identity theft and was sentenced to three years and one day in prison. The duo reportedly stole over 100 identities and made at least $120,000. Scroll down for a video about this pair of auto-related criminals.
