First of all, I would like to thank everyone for checking out my listing. As you may see, I have 100% positive feedback, and I am honest and upfront about everything!!
What I have up for sale is my baby. If it were not for a wife and 4 kids running around it would never be for sale.
1986 Porsche 944. Sapphire Metallic with Black leather interior. This car is approaching 30 years old, so please do not expect a new car. It currently shows 144K on the odometer, however it does need a new speed sensor for the speedometer to function. The car cleans up very nicely, however I haven't had a chance to detail it. I'll leave that up to the winning bidder, and give them something to do on Saturday afternoon. Paint shines, however both the hood, and sunroof are a little thin. I also noticed when I blew the dust off of it today that the sunroof didn't want to lock shut. (Not sure why) The windshield also has a crack as well. I would consider the interior to be in above average condition. There is the typical 944 dash cracks that a cap would easily cover up. Also the drivers seat side bolster has some wear.
Engine and transmission are rock solid. I have never driven a vehicle that has a clutch that bites like this one. Drives good as well. I noticed a little hesitation today when I dug it out, but certain that plug wires should be replaced eventually. This car could be driven away with no problems.

LaFerrari, McLaren P1, Porsche 918 and Agera R take to Assen
Tue, 10 Jun 2014It's the show-down (sort of) we've all been waiting for. The battle of the hybrid hypercars from the performance powerhouses of Europe: Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder. No one publication has managed to get their hands on all three just yet, but this video has - and with a Koenigsegg Agera R thrown in for good measure.
The video was shot by our (unrelated) Dutch compatriots at Autoblog.nl at the TT Circuit Assen in the Netherlands. The track has played host to Champ Cars and all manner of racing bikes, but this could be the ultimate grid of actual production machinery that's ever lined up behind its start/finish line. Shame the weather was rainy and this unsurpassed array of supercars weren't really racing - more showing off for the crowds. But what a show it was. Scope out the footage in the video below.
Porsche reveals new LMP1 racecar testing ahead of 2014 Le Mans debut
Wed, 12 Jun 2013Getting ready for its triumphant return to the premier racing class of Le Mans, Porsche has released a handful of images showing its new LMP1 racecar testing. Porsche hasn't run a car in the Prototype class at 24 Hours of Le Mans since 2009, but this racecar - still veiled in secrecy - will be expected to battle against the Audi and Toyota LMP1 Prototypes to help bring Porsche its 17th Le Mans victory.
Aside from knowing that it will use a hybrid powertrain to meet LMP1 rules, there are no other details about the car... including its name or potential sponsors. In the meantime, Porsche has set up a microsite, called Mission 2014, to share its extensive history racing at Le Mans. Also, be sure to check out some of the past videos Porsche has released as it gears up for its reborn LMP1 program.
Porsche close to fix for 911 GT3 engine fires
Sun, 16 Mar 2014It looks like 2014 Porsche 911 GT3 drivers might actually get to drive their cars again soon. Reports of fires affecting the track-ready Germans first began about a month ago. Then, a few days later, the automaker confirmed two of the five alleged blazes and said owners shouldn't drive their cars until further notice. Porsche then went so far as to offer to pick up the GT3s and transport them to the nearest dealer until the problem was identified and a fix was found. Finally, there appears to be a repair.
"We know the reason and the problem-solving measures. We're testing them," said Porsche CEO Matthias Müller to Bloomberg. The technical fix will be released to owners shortly.
The recall affects all 785 GT3s that have been sold so far, but there have been no reported injuries caused by the fires. When it first announced the safety campaign, Porsche said: "Internal studies to determine the cause of the engine damage have not been completed yet."
