1988 Porsche 928s4 red/black 5 speed Let me start by saying i've owned this car for over 15 years and im selling it to buy my dream boat and so i need the cash that is the ONLY reason i am selling. PLEASE no stupid low ball offers, you are simply wasting your time!

The car is not perfect so dont come here telling me what is good and bad. Its sold as is and an awesome car still to this day. Its a daily driver or a weekend fun car.

The car is Red with Black interior and YES a very very very rare 5 speed. Current miles 147,464. The car runs and drives like a bat outta hell. It is by no means perfect and not a garage queen although it has always been in the garage. Ive owned the car for over 15 years and used it. It needs two things only if you want it almost perfect. A full $7,000 show car paint job and the AC fixed! The AC actually works but the climate control unit AC button does not turn it on so i simply bypassed it and i've had AC all summer. Tires are great and breaks are great. has a nice stereo with flip out TV. I will not post pictures because any serious buyer will come and look at this rare car in person anyway. The car has all original body panels and matching numbers. AGAIN! It is a 1988. Thank you and have a great day! One last thing. The timing belt was changed but it may or may not need it changed simply for time not miles. I will not lower the price, dont ask!!

ZERO RUST!!

I can meet you On Friday or saturday at T-Bones in Lake Wylie SC to see the car. I have a clear title in hand!

cash or certified bank check only

Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer

An Iconic Sports Car, Restored to Seduce
I have been strapped behind the iconic Momo Prototipo steering wheel for a little more than an hour, all windows down as I carve my way up a rugged canyon during an unusually warm Southern California evening, and I am overwhelmed with emotion. My heart is pounding out of my chest, my breathing is heavy and my palms are sweaty because I am completely absorbed by this wondrous machine.
After waiting patiently for nearly four years, I am finally behind the wheel of a classic Porsche 911 restored, modified and tuned by Singer Vehicle Design. The vehicle that surrounds me never rolled off an automaker's assembly line in its current configuration, yet its physical appearance is timeless, build quality breathtaking and driving dynamics peerless.

eBay Find of the Day: 1981 Porsche 928 convertible by Carelli

Wed, 30 Apr 2014

The Porsche 928 was perhaps the consummate European GT of its day. With a powerful front-mounted V8 engine that grew in displacement as the model years went on, it was capable of eating up the miles at triple-digit speeds in great comfort for occupants. It was also an unusual beauty, with its sharp front and curved rear featuring innovative integrated bumpers.
Currently for auction on eBay Motors is one of the rarest 928s you're likely to find, in a handsome combination of Guards Red paint and tan leather interior, though we wouldn't mind a less-showy finish to the factory wheels. According to the seller, this car is one of eight 928 convertibles by Carelli Design, a firm that's still in business.
The auction claims that these cars were made in 1981 as a feasibility study between Carelli and Porsche for a possible production 928 convertible. The seller says he worked at the dealership where the car is said to have been originally sold $103,000. To remove the roof and hide the convertible top, there were significant changes made to the body and interior, including redesigned doors and a completely new trunk. As you can see in the gallery, when down, the top is completely hidden in a very factory-like fashion. When up, it looks slightly awkward, though (and we'd really like to see a rear three-quarter view to check out the blind spots).

Porsche 911 GT3 dukes it out with MP4-12C on track and GT-R on spectacular roads

Thu, 22 Aug 2013

The Porsche 911 GT3 has always been a favorite among auto journalists and car enthusiasts alike, but with the introduction of the new 991-generation GT3, which is the first GT3 with electric power steering and no manual gearbox option, how does it stack up to the competition from McLaren and Nissan?
Evo's Jethro Bovingdon attempts to answer that question by pitting the rear-engine Porsche against the mid-engine McLaren MP4-12C on a racetrack and the front-engine, all-wheel-drive Nissan GT-R on some amazing, twisty European back roads. We won't give away the victor of either comparison, but we will say that, in Evo's test, the McLaren's 141-horsepower advantage doesn't give it as much of an edge over the Porsche on a racetrack as one might think, and the lack of a manual gearbox and the inclusion of electric power steering on the GT3 isn't detrimental to enjoying the car on a back road.
Watch the video below to find out which car Bovingdon prefers on road and track - we think you'll be happy to see him drift around turns every chance he gets.
