This is NOT just some stripped out 928 tub with a cage... it has been soda blasted inside and out, professional 6 point roll cage installed, and received extensive paint and body work finished in Porsche Polar Silver by New Werke German in Hanover PA.   I have a clean, clear title in my name for the car as well as the original import sicker from the door jam from when the car was first imported in 1980.  I have included some pictures of the car with the wheels I was running to give you a sense of how it looks.  I realize that I'm bias but this is one of the cleanest looking 928's around.  The body work is so subtitle you would think that it's factory.

It started life as a 5-speed 1980 Euro S factory non-sunroof car and has received the following enhancements:  The entire body was soda blasted as shown in the pictures.  The interior and engine compartment were painted in PPG epoxy coating which is extremely durable, S4 front bumper and fenders with custom headlight cover-overs that look like a factory race car (had Porsche ever raced the 928), rub strips removed, headlight sprayers deleted, front and rear corner marker lights deleted, hand fabricated GTS rear fender flares, polycarbonate quarter and deck windows from 928 Motorsports, custom GTS rear bumper cover with a hand fabricated matching second exhaust outlet for a true dual exhaust.  I have receipts for $6,000 in paint and body work along not including the cost for the S4 body panels.  And the best thing is that this is still a street car, I drove it on the track and it was registered for the street as well.  The tub is currently a roller with no driver train or wiring but everything shown in the picture is included with the car.  It does roll and can be easily loaded onto a trailer.  Also included is a brand new steering rack, and both rear hub carriers have been rebuilt with brand new wheels bearings.  Each wheel bearing cost more than the starting bid for the whole car!

The brake lines are all run custom and including an in-car Stainless Brakes bias adjuster.  The fuel lines are complete and run from the rear to the engine compartment, both a feed and primary for fuel injection.  The trunk floor pan has been replaced with a custom fuel cell mount that will fit a 22 gallon ATL fuel cell or any cell you want to mount, lines are already run for you.  The cell is covered by a custom rear floor pan fabricated by York Sheet Metal that keeps sheet metal between the cell and the passenger compartment.  There is a custom battery box mounted behind the passenger seat and the massive gauge positive battery cable that runs to a race-approved battery kill switch that is accessible by both the driver and the safety workers.   With the brake and fuel lines installed this is a perfect candidate for your track or street project.  I drove this car on the street and the track.  One look at the craftsmanship of the paint and body work and you can see that this was no rush job, a lot of time was taken in the body.  Also included is a full custom dual exhaust that was hand fabricated by Mandrel Bend Solutions in Pasadena MD.  This is probably one of the only 928's you'll ever see with a true exhaust because the factory fuel tank blocks the right side pipes, but since this car is set up for a fuel cell, there is room for a true fuel exhaust.  Also included is the custom X-pipe.

I am looking for a hassle-free transaction and can provide the same in return.   I am a serious seller who understands how to treat buyers as my feedback shown.  Terms:  Payment by Cashiers check or cash at pick up.  Payment due within 7 business days from the sale date.  Car is sold as is with no warranty expressed or implied.    Buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping arrangements.  I would be happy to work with your shipping company if you need to have the car shipped.  Please note, payment must be made in accordance with the terms of the sale as stated above regardless of shipping arrangements.  No reserve!  Highest bidder takes it, thanks and happy bidding.

Magnus Walker soliloquizes in his Porsche 911 at night

Fri, 23 Aug 2013

Magnus Walker, a prolific Los Angeles clothing designer who has also carved out a respected spot for himself in Porsche world, has had yet another video made about him and his sizable Porsche collection. In this latest video, Hong Kong-based Obscura magazine focuses its video cameras on Walker and his 1971 Porsche 911 track car (yes, the one that appeared on Jay Leno's Garage) as he speeds around Downtown LA and Little Tokyo late at night.
We've heard Walker's story many times before. He's not like the average Porsche owner, perhaps a tad more passionate than most, and he builds 911s like he designs clothes: his way. Sure, we might be a little envious, but can you blame us? View this very slick and entertaining nighttime video entitled Disturbing The Peace below.

Can a Corvette really be compared to a 911 with options costing more than the Chevy?

Wed, 29 Jan 2014

In this latest video from Drive, Chris Harris asks straight away, "Can you still compare a base Corvette to a Porsche Carerra?" That's an particularly interesting question in this film, as the 911 in question is a 400-horsepower Carrera S model that's been fitted with $60,000 in options. Base price of a Corvette Stingray? $51,995. Harris' tester features an automatic and some other goodies that push it right up to that $60,000 range. So yes, the options on the Porsche cost as much as this entire 460-hp Chevrolet.
Harris stresses that this isn't a full review, but he does exercise both cars in a more composed manner before reverting to his traditionally exuberant driving style. The impressions are, as always, spot on, with Harris favoring the pointy nature and V8 power of the Stingray, while enjoying the gearbox (Porsche's exceptional PDK transmission) and just about everything else on the 911.
Take a look below for the latest video from Drive, and let us know if you agree with Mr. Harris' views on these two sports cars.

Leno, Seinfeld and a Porsche 356/2 featured in latest CICGC

Sun, 19 Jan 2014

In the latest kaffeeklatsch known as Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, Jerry Seinfeld pulls Jay Leno out of his garage for a trip to Jones Coffee in Pasadena, CA. The NBC funnyman we've lately seen driving two guest Porsches in his eponymous garage this time takes the passenger seat in a 1949 Porsche 356/2, one of early all-aluminum, hand-built coupes - still in 100-percent original condition - built in Gmund, Austria and nicknamed "Gmunds."
The comedy veterans have known one another for 35 years, so the episode is rich with stories of The Good Old Days. Leno says it is also the first time he's ever had a cup of coffee, and for obvious comedic reasons they start with the civet-stained beans made famous in The Bucket List. You can watch Leno take his first sip below, and have you haven't heard the joke about the goat and the anvil, scroll on down for a listen to that and one or two more jokes besides.
