"A very solid good looking and fun to drive Porsche 928 with very low miles and very good condition. Has a small crack in the windshield. It has been there since I have owned the car. It goes from the passenger side bottom of the windshield up to the side about 6 inches long. Also there is a small dent in the rear driver's side fender. This would be an easy fix, but I have just never had it fixed. This is a 32 year old car and does have some scratches and nicks, but still very good condition inside and out. Always a lot of fun to drive." The car only had about 60,000 miles on it when I bought it in 2005. Replaced the timing belt and oil pump about 6000 miles ago and battery about one month ago. No other repairs since I have owned the car, but I put less than 10,000 miles on it myself. The only other thing I have done are oil changes and replaced the a/c, power steering and alternator belts. This is for local pick-up only unless you make arrangements for delivery. I can deliver it in Atwood or Effingham, Illinois or surrounding area. Popular Science magazine's Best Of What's New 2012 all ate up with cars

2014 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet spotted testing in the nude
Tue, 16 Jul 2013The Porsche 911 wouldn't be the Porsche 911 unless there were twenty-something different models to choose from (note: we are not complaining), and the latest one was just spied by our trusty photographers out on Germany's Nürburgring. Feast your eyes on the 911 Turbo Cabriolet - the droptop version of the new Turbo wonder that debuted in May - looking all sorts of stealth in its black-on-black-on-black prototype scheme.
Mechanically, the 911 Turbo Cab should be identical to the fixed-roof version, meaning a twin-turbo 3.8-liter flat-six engine will live in the car's rump, putting out something like 520 horsepower. Of course, there's also the hotter Turbo S version of the coupe, and we expect that to get the droptop treatment, as well, with 560 horsepower on tap. The added weight of the folding top and additional structural supports will likely make for slightly slower 0-60 times for both cars, though considering the base Turbo will hit 60 miles per hour in 3.2 seconds, "slower" is a very relative term indeed. All that force will run to the ground via all-wheel drive, managed by Porsche's seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission.
The wide stance of the 911 Turbo Coupe carries over to the Cabriolet, no doubt fitted with the same (standard) 20-inch wheels. Inside, the usual luxury amenities will be on hand, along with nearly endless customization options.
Porsche working on turbo V12 for Putin limo project?
Fri, 24 Oct 2014Porsche is best known for building very well-regarded sports cars and better-selling utility vehicles. Come to the company with a big enough bag of cash, though, and the Porsche Engineering division can create just about anything. The group's past projects include working with Harley-Davidson, Mercedes-Benz and corporate cousin Audi, but if rumors prove true, then its latest partner might be the last one you'd expect.
Russian website Wroom reports that Porsche Engineering is building the engine for the Project Cortege government limousine project for Russian president Vladimir Putin. The mill is supposedly a turbocharged V12 displacing between 6.0- and 6.6-liters and making around 800 horsepower. When complete, it will reportedly be built by ZMZ with Russian-sourced parts.
The limo is expected to debut in 2017, according to Wroom, but it's just the beginning of Putin's grandiose plans, which also goes by the name of the Motorcade Project. The same platform is also meant to underpin several vehicles for use by the government, including an SUV, a small bus and a sedan. All of them would reportedly have a longitudinally mounted engine and all-wheel drive.
