1988 Porsche 924S, 4 cylinder 5 speed, Fresh oil and filter change, new air filter, new battery. Comes with and extra OEM oil filter and air filter. I bought the car from the owner that brought it from North Carolina in 2005. It has always been stored for the winter ever since. It is very clean body for the age. No rust. Moon roof has scratches and rear right corner damaged. Comes with an OEM used moon roof for replacement. interior and headliner very nice condition. The seat cushions have the normal cracks in the seams. Runs and drives good and very fun. The tires are fair and need replacing soon. Has the phone dial rims. Exhaust very good condition with a chrome tip. One small crack by the rear view mirror mount. All other glass good. Power windows work good. Flip up lights all work good. Reason for selling is moving and have no storage at the new place. Hate to see it go. You wont be disappointed in this Porsche. Currently has Minnesota collector plates installed.

Meet the main man behind the 2014 Porsche 911 GT3

Fri, 30 Aug 2013 17:01:00 EST

We have yet to catch our breath from our first drive of the 2014 Porsche 911 GT3, but if you're still not sold on the fact that this track-ready 911 is only offered with a PDK transmission, then you should take it up with Andreas Preuninger. Preuninger is the guy who led the team responsible for the latest GT3. Porsche has released a video giving a little backstory of what went into the development of the car, which had as its goal the creation of a pure, rewarding 911 driving experience.
The video captures the sights and sounds of the GT3 perfectly. Perhaps the best part is listening to Preuninger describe one of the defining moments that resulted in replacing the GT3's manual gearbox with the PDK. We don't want to ruin the video for you, so scroll down to check it out for yourself.

Porsche Cayman GT4 spotted at the N?rburgring

Tue, 13 May 2014 11:32:00 EST

It was just the other day that we first caught wind of Porsche's plans to build a GT4 version of the Cayman, and now we're already looking at spy shots of the vehicle in question undergoing testing at - where else? - the Nürburgring.
With more aggressive front-end aero, a GT3-style air vent ahead of the front hood, a large wing at the back, and spindly alloys packed with over-sized brakes at each corner, this Cayman is clearly more extreme than even the range-topping GTS. The rear diffuser and central exhaust tips look about the same as those you'd find at the back of the Cayman GTS, though.
What we can't see, of course, is what Porsche has slotted in under the rear glass, how it's upgraded the interior and how much weight it's stripped out of the thing to get it down to fighting weight, but you can bet it'll come with a substantial power bump and a stripped-out interior with racing buckets and little else to open the gap between it and the GTS... and close the gap to the 911 GT3 which it will join as the baby brother in Porsche's performance-focused lineup. Will Roegge makes 4K art of Jeff Zwart's 911 build and run up Pikes Peak

Sun, 17 Aug 2014 20:03:00 EST

Will Roegge has turned his camera on Jeff Zwart and provided another gem, this time documenting Zwart's run up Pikes Peak and BBI Autosport. Bertim Besha dropped out of high school, then worked his way up to founding his own shop, BBI, that gathers a crew of tuners who are just as fastidious about their work as the customers are about their cars.
They prepped the 991-series Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Turbo, the product of combining a 911 GT2 that was the most powerful car Zwart drove up the mountain with a GT3 Cup that Zwart thought had the best handling. Two TiAL turbos and a lot of fettling make for a 3.8-liter flat-six with 700 horsepower, 700 pound-feet of torque and a 7,800-rpm redline. Zwart drove it to a heartbreaking second place this year, finishing less than 1.2 seconds behind the Time Attack 1 class winner when his car suffered its first mechanical issue of the week.
The first video below covers Besha, BBI and the build, the second is Zwart's run. As if the visuals weren't enough, sit back and enjoy the shrieking of the "Hill Climb Special," which is what the constellation Sirius would sound like if it could bark.
