For sale here is an immaculate 1986 Carrera sunroof coupe that pictures can not do justice. Let me begin with my ownership of the vehicle, I am in a round about way the second owner of the car... I purchased the car

from a dealership in Houston that had sold and serviced it from new to the original owner, he than traded it for an Aston Martin in the Houston area and the Porsche dealership acquired the vehicle back from them
then I purchased it, no one else had owned the car in between other than the dealership. Ok with that said let me explain more about this beautiful 911. I went through the entire interior and replaced all the carpet,
pedals, re-dyed the hydes and added dynamat for sound deadening. I only used the best german Siverknit carpet as well as little fineses like wrapping the steering column and the rear of the console in leather, added billet
knobs and bezels and MOMO steering wheel shift boot and knob and emergency brake handle as well as new alpine stereo unit and added an under dash cover. Other touches include high gloss finishes on seat side covers and console face. The car is riding on 4 custom painted black Fuchs wheels with no miles on them and 225/50/16 Yokohamas on all 4 corners that are near new. The original Fuchs with painted crests and Yokohamas are included with sale, in perfect condition. This car was stored and covered in a heated garage, see the photos, I will be happy to answer any questions, I can only write so much to explain what a beauty this is, a specific question my answer more info.

Meet the main man behind the 2014 Porsche 911 GT3

Fri, 30 Aug 2013

We have yet to catch our breath from our first drive of the 2014 Porsche 911 GT3, but if you're still not sold on the fact that this track-ready 911 is only offered with a PDK transmission, then you should take it up with Andreas Preuninger. Preuninger is the guy who led the team responsible for the latest GT3. Porsche has released a video giving a little backstory of what went into the development of the car, which had as its goal the creation of a pure, rewarding 911 driving experience.
The video captures the sights and sounds of the GT3 perfectly. Perhaps the best part is listening to Preuninger describe one of the defining moments that resulted in replacing the GT3's manual gearbox with the PDK. We don't want to ruin the video for you, so scroll down to check it out for yourself.

Roger Rodas' widow suing Porsche over Carrera GT crash

Tue, 13 May 2014

Investigations undertaken by local law enforcement may have vindicated Porsche from any wrongdoing in the crash that killed actor Paul Walker and racing driver Roger Rodas last year, but the latter's widow is apparently not convinced. According to emerging reports, Kristine Rodas has filed a lawsuit seeking unspecified damages from Porsche Cars North America.
In her suit filed with the Los Angeles Superior Court, Rodas' attorney Mark Geragos reportedly disputes the findings of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, which asserted that the vehicle was traveling at an unsafe speed of 90 miles per hour on city streets, identifying the speed as the cause of the accident. Instead the lawsuit claims that the vehicle was only going 55 mph and that the cause of the crash was improper equipment - namely a faulty right rear suspension and the lack of a crash cage and proper fuel tank.

Remembering Porsche's illustrious Le Mans history

Fri, 13 Jun 2014

Not only does this weekend mark the running of the 82nd 24 Hours of Le Mans, it will also see the return of one of the race's most venerable brands to the top tiers of endurance racing. Porsche will campaign its first top-flight car since the 1998 911 GT1-98, the 919 Hybrid, at this weekend's race, in the hopes of knocking off its corporate rival, the dominant Audi team.
To understand just what a win for the 919 would mean, though, you need to look back on the intrinsic connection between the Circuit de la Sarthe and Porsche. It's a history that spans decades, dating back to the team's first win in 1970.
XCar has a great video on that history. At 25 minutes, it's a bit on the long side. Then again it is the Friday before Le Mans. Take a look below for the video.
