Porsche 356 Speedster Carrera Gt Gs Replica on 2040-cars
Palm Springs, California, United States
Recently Delivered Speedster GT GS Replica. Build was completed February 22nd, 2014 by Greg Leach of Vintage Spyders. Car is absolutely stunning. Runs and drives exceptionally and handles incredibly. Built on a shortened reinforced 1963 VW Chassis all suspension components are brand new. Front Disk Brake, Wide-5 Wheels with drumskins and tires all have less than 150 miles on them. The body is steel reinforced fiberglass with a beehive taillights, louvered rear decklid, fill-through (Spyder style) gas cap and Carrera mirror. Front and rear bumpers have received Carrera treatment. Engine is a great running 1600cc Dual Weber / EMPI Carbs. Transmission was just rebuilt by Car-Craft Inc. of Riverside to a 3.88 freeway flyer with under 150 miles on it. Single outlet Carrera style A-1 Exhaust. Upgraded black canvas top with matching canvas windows. This is an excellent opportunity to get into a Carrera replica with top notch fit and finish Greg Leach of Vintage Spyders is known for. Would take enormous amounts of money and time to spec a car to this condition. Car has a clear California title and is registered through February 2015. Title in possession. Car is located in Palm Springs California. I am happy to show car to potential buyers. Feel free to contact with any questions or specific photo requests. Our hats are off to Porsche's 2014 911 Turbo Cabriolets
Wed, 20 Nov 2013Porsche has just debuted its two latest decapitated rocket sleds today at the LA Auto Show, the new 911 Turbo Cabriolet and Turbo S Cabriolet, which share their coupe counterparts' 520-horsepower and 560-hp 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engines. That kind of power ought separate a lot of hats (and toupees!) from heads.
The rear-engined Porsches put their power down through all four wheels, which allows them to launch from 0-60 in 3.3 seconds or less (the Turbo S Cab takes just 3.1 seconds), and both of them top out at 195 mph.
The 911 Turbo Cabriolet starts at $160,700, while the Turbo S Cabriolet can be had for a grand total of $193,900 (plus $950 for destination). Is the S model's 40 extra horsepower worth $33,200? We're not so sure, but we imagine Porsche won't have any trouble selling it.
Driving 50 years of Porsche 911 history
Fri, 06 Sep 2013Raiding The Porsche Museum For A Fun Track Day
It seems everyone is celebrating anniversaries this year: it's Aston's hundredth, Lamborghini's fiftieth, Ford Mustang's fiftieth, Chevy Corvette's sixtieth - and Tesla just turned ten or something. It's been a little out of hand, frankly, all these forced marketing festivities, but if we had to pick one milestone to really celebrate hard and party all night, the Porsche 911 would be at the top of our list.
Get ready for a major 911 blowout bash at next week's Frankfurt Motor Show. It was on September 12 back in 1963 at this very show where Porsche unveiled its "901" painted in a rather boring shade of beige. Though drably finished, the car caused a worldwide frenzy in the budding German sports car sphere.

These enthusiasts have the same passion that fans in England, the United States or Germany have for the Carrera. Take a look below at the full video, to see what the 911 enthusiasts of Taiwan love about their 911s.
