THIS IS A REAL, ALL PORSCHE METAL, 1957 SPEEDSTER!

When was the last time you saw a real 1957 Porsche Speedster for sale on eBay?  What is the most copied , replica, Porsche ever!

A 1957 SPEEDSTER

This is the real deal!  You can buy a plastic replica or you can own the real thing.  Here it is, on eBay for you to bid on and own.  We can have this wonderful driver in your garage before the end of the month if you are the successful bidder.
What is the deal?  Simple the owner has owned this Speedster for 25 years, purchased in 1989.  He has driven it and enjoyed it.  It has been preserved and protected and well cared for since he has owned it.  The owner has decided to sell it.  He has chosen a reputable Porsche Restoration Center to sell it on Consignment.
Here is what I can tell you.  It has a clear title.  It is a solid driver.  The original color was Silver, it is now painted Black lacquer .  The black paint is abover average even though it is over 25 years old.  The Color change was done correctly with all the jams, hood and engine compartment visable areas painted black as well.  It has been customised in the design popular in the 80's, a style referred to, and copied today in many replicas, as an "Outlaw".    The interior appears to be the original components and material.  The interior is in good condition, the carpets are worn but not tattered.  Some of the chrome needs to be re-done but has a nice patina that shows it is original and not a replica.  It has the original tool kit, top with side curtains.
A vehicle inspection report done as a pre-purchase inspection for the current owner, it goes with the Speedster. Call me at 410 822 8322 during business hours to discuss this inspection report.

The engine runs strong and has no abnormal oil leaks.  Call me at 410 822 8322 is you would like to discuss the engine or have the engine number.

This is a great little Speedster.  It runs and drives reliably and has good road manners.  It is worthy of being in your garage or your collection.

If you would like to speak with me about this Speedster, arrange a time to come and inspect it's condition please give me a call at 410 822 8322 and ask for Bruce.

We can arrange world wide shipping at the buyers sole expense.  There is no warranty offered or implied.  The Speedster is for sale elsewhere and this auction may end at any time.

THIS IS A VERY RARE OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A REAL 1957 PORSCHE 356 SPEEDSTER.

Porsche Cayenne spied unconstrained by camouflage

Thu, 05 Jun 2014

Meet the facelifted Porsche Cayenne. Our eagle-eyed spy shooters captured this example of Porsche's freshened SUV virtually devoid of camo, giving us our clearest look yet at what the eventual mid-cycle work will do to the strong-selling Cayenne.
The overall changes do, indeed, look minor, with a reprofiled intake being the most obvious item. The headlights are still covered, so we don't know what kind of jeweling has been done, but the shape does appear identical to the current model. Overall, the changes appear totally in line with a mid-cycle refresh.
As we explained previously, a plug-in Cayenne is on the way. It will join a crop of engines that is likely to be similar to what's on offer today, with naturally aspirated, turbocharged, hybrid and diesel variants released over time.

Porsche (finally) unleashes full, official details on 918 Spyder

Mon, 09 Sep 2013

Porsche has finally let released all of the details on the 918 Spyder, the German brand's challenger to the McLaren P1 and Ferrari LaFerrari, after months of leading our poor, performance-loving hearts on. The covers were lifted at the Volkswagen Group night, an enormous precursor to the Frankfurt Motor Show, and include a massive, 11,000-word press release that's attached at the bottom of this page.
The 918 Spyder features a mid-mounted, dry-sump-lubricated, 4.6-liter V8 engine that generates 608 horsepower when left to its own devices. Combined with a trio of electric motors, which produce 286 hp, the total system horsepower for the 918 Spyder rests at 887 ponies. That's less than the McLaren P1 (903 hp) and the LaFerrari (949 hp), but the Porsche is also likely to be a bit cheaper, starting at $845,000, while the McLaren will be in the seven-figure range for certain, and it will more than likely be joined by the LaFezza.
The 918 Spyder counters with a 2.8-second jog to 62, a 7.7-second run to 124 and it will hit 186 in 22 seconds.

Porsche 911 GT2 RS vs. Mercedes SLS AMG Black in battle of who can shred more rubber

Fri, 04 Apr 2014

We might be looking at the end of an era in European performance models. Mercedes-Benz is doing away with the SLS in favor of a rumored smaller and cheaper SLC, and Porsche has said that a new 911 GT2 isn't necessarily a sure thing, which means another 911 GT2 RS is even farther away. In its latest video, Evo's Jethro Bovingdon pits the ultimate versions of these German sports coupes against each other and finds two of the fastest cars the magazine has ever lapped around its track.
In one corner, there is the Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series that sits as the pinnacle of the company's halo model. It relies on the classic setup of a V8 mounted in front powering the rear wheels. On the other side, there is the 911 GT2 RS with a turbocharged flat-six mounted at the back, spinning the rear wheels. It was conceived to be Porsche's ultimate expression of a turbocharged 911, and while it's a few years old, Bovingdon shows that it's up to the task of racing a more modern rival.
Both of these rear-wheel-drive monsters are more than capable of some fantastically smoky power-slides, but they also show how great the last generation of sports cars was. Scroll down to check out the video.
