Up for sale is 1 of approximately 100 in the world 1965 Porsche 356 SC in wonderful condition.
Offered for sale is this wonderful and rare 1965 Porsche 356 SC Cabriolet. Only a handful of the 588 356 Cabriolets that were made were SC’s. This is a high quality example that retains it’s original engine and ALL MATCHING NUMBERS.. This example was completely restored in 2012 by a Porsche 356 expert. The restoration was performed to a very high standard and has had light use on beautiful days only on the Pacific Coast Highway.
This is a true investor grade example that can be enjoyed. This car runs and drives beautifully. This 356 is finished in classic colors, retains it’s correct driveline, and is a high quality example, that has been restored. This is one of the last SC Cabriolets ever made. It drives wonderfully and is in excellent overall condition. The only known issue is 2 scratches on the driver's side. I can provide pictures if requested. It is nothing that cannot be fixed.
I also have approximately 300 photos of the car throughout the entire restoration process. It is a magnificent story to watch and tell.
The car is matching numbers and I do possess a clear title in hand and the Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche. Not only that, this baby has heated seats. They can be easily removed for the absolute purest of Porsche enthusiasts, but I find them awesome cruising down PCH in the evening with the top in its customary down position.
I never sold a car on Ebay before and I will do what I can to answer your questions and to assist with shipping at your expense. Please dont ask ne too complicated of questions because I am not a mechanic. I just love these cars and enjoy driving them.
The vehicle is located in Sunny Laguna Beach California and can be seen here as well. The vehicle is sold "as is" with no warranties.
VIN 161281

Porsche creates 'symphony' with seven generations of 911
Wed, 02 Oct 2013At Porsche, things are getting a bit wild on the 50th anniversary year of the 911. To celebrate it (again) in yet another inventive way, the automaker has called on the musical talents of seven generations of the rear-engine sports car (please suspend your disbelief, at least for the length of the video, and assume that generation two started in 1974) to perform a song that has eight notes. We're wondering which 911 is pulling double duty...
But before the Porsches are lined up for the short recital, the drivers let loose and drift them inside a hangar. Watch the video below, and tell us in comments which was more impressive: the song or the drifting.
eBay Find of the Day: Your choice of new, unregistered mid-2000s supercars
Wed, 26 Dec 2012If you didn't quite find what you were hoping to see under the tree this year, maybe it's about time you buy yourself something nice. Something like an unregistered 2005 Porsche Carrera GT. The car has never been titled and has just 83 miles on the odometer. With one owner since new, the Carrera GT is likely to be as nice an example as you're likely to find outside of a museum. Porsche only built 340 of these machines back in 2005, and with a 610 horsepower V10 kicking at your spine, you can lap Santa's sleigh next year. Currently, the Carrera GT has a buy it now price of $457,325 with around six days left on the auction.
Not flashy enough for your tastes? Stroll on down to West Hollywood and you'll find a similarly untitled 2004 Ferrari Enzo up for grabs with a sticker of $1.8 million. Technically a Euro-spec car, the Enzo isn't legal to operate on US roads, but could be modified to satisfy Uncle Sam with a little effort. The seller calls this car the "last brand-new Enzo in existence" and with 175 miles on the clock, that may be a true statement. You can head over to eBay Motors for a closer look if you're feeling spendy.
2012 TechArt Porsche 911 is visually dazzling, both inside and out
Wed, 07 Mar 2012One way to ensure that your brand-new Porsche 911 (a.k.a. 991) won't look like the one in your neighbor's driveway is to give TechArt a call. The famed German tuner has rolled out its version of the latest Carrera and Carrera S at the Geneva Motor Show and trust us, it won't be mistaken for anything from the factory in Stuttgart.
Up front, TechArt has fitted its own unique two-part spoiler with integrated splitter while more aggressive side skirts adorn the rocker panels. The rear has a new lower diffuser, wrapped around the TechArt exhaust, and a large fixed rear wing (complete with an integrated third brake light). Look more closely to notice the subtle trim panels on the exterior mirrors and front headlights. The wheels are lightweight forged 20- and 21-inch alloys with matching paint on their rims.
Inside the heavily modified cabin are even more drastic enhancements (let's say TechArt has gone over the top). Don't let the aluminum pedals be a distraction as you inspect the black Alcantara and high-grade leather covering nearly every square inch. Flirting with gaudy, the dark upholstery is contrasted by vehicle-color-coordinated stitching and painted trim splashed throughout. However, the icing on the cake is an insanely thick TechArt three-spoke sports steering wheel.
