1964 Porsche 356C This car is ready for a full restoration. All drivetrain components including engine, transmission and suspension have been removed. The wiring harness has also been removed in preparation for paint stripping and metal work. Engine was rebuilt less than 10 hours ago but carburetors should be cleaned. The car was found in a storage building in northern Ohio. All parts are labeled and in boxes. Many new and nos parts including longitudinals and other metal panels from Stoddard have been purchased in addition to a new wiring harness which will be included in sale of the car. All seats and interior components are included. All gauges are currently being restored and are included. All original and new replacement chrome is included. Dolly is included which car currently sets on. The car was originally dark gray with red leatherette interior. Certificate of authenticity is included from Porsche |

Meet the man that discovered and restored the oldest existing Porsche
Tue, 11 Mar 2014Luciano Rupolo is an absolutely fascinating gentleman. He was born in France but spent nearly his entire life in Italy as an auto mechanic running his own shop. His grandfather and father instilled a love of sports cars in him that he carried on by historic racing in Italy for decades. He saw his life-long automotive passion repaid when he found and restored the car that might have been the first Porsche registered for the road.
You can spot in his garage a split-window Corvette, Ferrari 250 GTE and other exotics, but Rupolo's most interesting automotive story concerns his Iso Grifo Competizione (pictured above). The sports coupe was found in the Canary Islands as little more than a shell, but Rupolo got help from a prestigious source for its restoration. The result is a motoring masterpiece.

2015 Porsche Cayenne spotted with facelift
Wed, 03 Apr 2013Although it's only been a few years since the current Porsche Cayenne was introduced, Porsche seems to be working on a midcycle update for its big SUV possibly in time to welcome the smaller Macan. As seen in these recent spy shots, it looks like the Cayenne will be getting a minor face- and butt-lift, but it's hard to say what other changes are in store or when the updated model will hit showrooms.
Up front, expect the Cayenne's new face to resemble what was just revealed on the 2014 Panamera, and we could also see this SUV using some of the new engines introduced on the Panamera including the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 or maybe even the E-Hybrid model. We're guessing that the new Cayenne could debut sometime next year likely for the 2015 model year. In the meantime, check out the gallery of spy shots above.
