This kit was originally ordered and started in the early 1980's. Fiberfab was the premier kit then but was too expensive with all the cheap competitors out there and eventually stopped production on them. They are a sought after kit and rare. This car was found in South Carolina as a barn find and was worked on there for a few years. Finally put on the road for the first time in June of 2011 and titled for the first time in July of 2011. It was not finished. I bought it in July of 2011 and titled it in Tennessee on July 15th. It is titled as a 1956 Speedster and has Antique tags on it.

The mileage on car is 1265 Kilometers, not Miles.

The Engine is a 1600CC single port crate engine . Chromed out. The engine is not broken in yet.

4 speed transmission, Rebuilt.

14" Wheels and tires

This is not built on a VW chassis. Instead it is a full tube frame with Double A arm at all four corners.

New shocks and springs and very stiff suspension.

12 gallon fuel cell

Vintage gauges

AM/FM CD Player mounted under dash with USB port but never hooked up any speakers.

New Battery

This is one of the nicest outlaws you will find. If you do not want attention you do not drive this.

It has been to 4 shows and won class at all but one and won peoples choice at one.

Have about 1 pint of original paint for touch-up if needed.

With the 14 inch wheels this 356 looks like it has been chopped and channeled and slammed to the ground. You must be careful of speed bumps.

It is not the fastest thing on the road but with get down the road pretty good and is so much fun to drive.

Top is in good shape

Cover is in good shape but has a few snaps pulled thru.

This 356 Outlaw is just get in and drive and enjoy. Needs nothing.

I do not want to sell this car but I am just divorced and got hurt and need to sell.

Fairly low reserve. You will not find a nicer one for under $30K.

I also have a 1.8 914 engine that is available to go with the car if you are interested in a bigger, hotter, faster engine. Extra engine is $500 more.

You change it out. I do not have time and Judge says sell.

Delivery is available anywhere in the US for my expenses. I have a 32 foot enclosed trailer to haul it in if needed or you can arrange your own transportation for it.

$500 due at end of auction thru paypal and balance before it leaves here. Balance to be in cash or wire transfer to my bank.

Inspection of car is welcome and you are able to do so most anytime if you call me first.

Any questions feel free to call me at 423-504-3057.

Car is located in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Car is also for sale locally and in Atlanta market so I reserve the right to end auction at anytime without notice.

Driving 50 years of Porsche 911 history

Raiding The Porsche Museum For A Fun Track Day
It seems everyone is celebrating anniversaries this year: it's Aston's hundredth, Lamborghini's fiftieth, Ford Mustang's fiftieth, Chevy Corvette's sixtieth - and Tesla just turned ten or something. It's been a little out of hand, frankly, all these forced marketing festivities, but if we had to pick one milestone to really celebrate hard and party all night, the Porsche 911 would be at the top of our list.
Get ready for a major 911 blowout bash at next week's Frankfurt Motor Show. It was on September 12 back in 1963 at this very show where Porsche unveiled its "901" painted in a rather boring shade of beige. Though drably finished, the car caused a worldwide frenzy in the budding German sports car sphere.

This FL man accused of stealing drivers licenses has best tattoo ever

Thu, 10 Jul 2014

Bentley and Porsche are two of the jewels in Volkswagen Group's luxury brand crown, but in Florida they also have a very tenuous connection with crime. With his multiple face and neck tattoos, including a Bentley logo right between his eyes, Derek Denesevich (pictured above) has been charged with the surprising crime of alleged identity theft. He recently surrendered to a Florida court, and could face seven years in prison, if convicted.
You might wonder where Porsche fits into this. According to the Sun Sentinel, Denesevich's accomplice was one Porscha Kyles, who worked for the Broward Clerk of Courts. She allegedly used her access to driver's license records to steal information and sell it to Denesevich. He is then accused of filing fraudulent income taxes to recoup the refund checks.
According to the Sentinel, Kyles has already pleaded guilty to conspiracy and identity theft and was sentenced to three years and one day in prison. The duo reportedly stole over 100 identities and made at least $120,000. Scroll down for a video about this pair of auto-related criminals.

'Faster. Farther.' dives into the history of Porsche racing tech

Wed, 07 Aug 2013

No doubt, Porsche has produced some of the best endurance racecars around, such as the turbocharged, slant-nose 935 of the 1970s and the ground-effects-enhanced 956 and 962 of the 1980s. But the company's most famous racecar, its first overall winner at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, was the 917.
The 917 embodied many of Porsche's technological achievements up to that point, such as the company's first 12- and 16-cylinder engines (the flat-16 was never used in competition), fiberglass bodies that implemented early aerodynamic practices and the use of new, exotic materials, such as magnesium and titanium.
The racecar was commissioned by the head of Porsche Motorsports, Ferdinand Piëch, to win overall at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1970, after he realized a loophole in the rules that allowed cars to compete with engines up to five liters in the Sport category if they were also production models. Piëch saw opportunity: the top prototype class was restricted to three liters; the production minimum to compete in Sport was 25 cars. And so, with much effort, Porsche assembled 25 "production" 4.5-liter 917s and had them parked in a neat line for the race inspectors to verify their legitimacy. It didn't take long before people realized the new Porsches were much faster than the prototype racers, with a top speed approaching 250 miles per hour.
