1989 Turbo Trans Am Pace Car - #377 of 1555 produced. Mileage is 50,374 - verified on the Carfax report. This vehicle spent most all of its life in California and Arizona (also verified on Carfax). It spent only this past winter garaged in Indiana. No rust at all. It is nearly all in original unmodified condition. Still has 20th anniversary plug wires, stainless steel exhaust tips, and all pace car badging. Exterior - Paint is in very good condition with just a few minor flaws. It has the original polyurethane spoiler with the common cracks professionally repaired and repainted - looks perfect. All OE badging and markings are present and in near perfect condition. Doors have new pins and bushings - no sag. Wheels and center caps are OE and in near perfect condition. Hidden headlight motors just rebuilt and work perfectly. Glass T-Tops are good and have original storage case. Power antenna just repaired and works perfectly. All exterior lighting is in good working order with no damaged lenses. Automatic hatch close works as well. Tires are new - less than 1,000 miles. Interior - Brand new Katzin leather interior. It's identical to original equipment but BRAND NEW. Carpet is in good shape and clean. Door panels are complete and show very little wear. Dash has no cracking, shows virtually no wear. All interior parts are there, including all badging, seat belts, etc.. Original stereo cassette player is there and working. Steering wheel radio controls work. All dashboard lights and gauges are working. Interior lights work. Power windows, mirrors, and door locks all work. Mechanical - Of course OE 3.8 turbo engine and original transmission. Runs very well with SERIOUS POWER! Automatic transmission shifts normally. I am not aware of any mechanical issues. This car is a true classic in very good condition and set at a reasonable price. I don't claim it to be showroom pristine but it's in really good shape and I have just fixed all the usual minor problem spots such as headlight motors, door hinges, spoiler, power antenna. GM repairing 40,500 Pontiac Vibes as part of Toyota airbag recall
Wed, 09 Apr 2014General Motors has confirmed to Autoblog that the Pontiac Vibe is included in Toyota's just-announced recall action. The Vibe and the Toyota Matrix share a large number of parts, including the affected cable to the airbag.
"About 40,500 Pontiac Vibes from the 2009-2010 model years are included in the Toyota recall. Toyota designed and engineered the Vibe for Pontiac. GM will service customers with these vehicles when Toyota makes the parts available," said GM recall spokesperson Alan Adler to Autoblog in an email.
The recall covers 1.3 million Toyota units in the US, including 2009-2010 Corolla, Matrix and Tacoma, the 2008-2010 Highlander, the 2006-2008 Rav4 and 2006-2010 Yaris, plus the addition of the 2009-2010 Vibe. The models all have their airbag module attached via a spiral electrical cable. The connections on this cable can be damaged when turning the steering wheel. Once broken, the airbag deactivates and the airbag warning light comes on. Toyota has an improved part, but it's still making preparations to begin repairs. It will begin notifying owners soon.

Saturn Vue ignition switch leads to new group of GM recalls totaling 312k
Fri, 08 Aug 2014General Motors has another spate of recalls to announce. This time they cover 312,280 vehicles worldwide, including 269,041 of in the US, in a total of six campaigns. In 2014, the automaker has recalled 29,079,765 vehicles worldwide, with 25,754,356 of those in the US.
The largest among them covers 215,243 units of the Saturn Vue from 2002-2004 model years worldwide, 202,115 in the US. It's possible for the for the key to be removed even when the ignition isn't in the OFF position. The company knows of two crashes and one injury caused by this problem. Dealers are checking the parts and replacing the ignition cylinder and key set, if necessary.
Next is 72,826 models worldwide (48,059 vehicles in the US) of the 2013 Cadillac ATS four-door sedan, 2013 Buick Encore and 2013 Chevy Trax in Canada. It's possible that the for lap belt pretensioner to retract but not to lock, which could increase occupant movement during a crash. Both front, outboard lap belt pretensioners are being replaced, and a stop-sale is in effect on unsold models until the problem is repaired. There are no known crashes or injuries, though.
