Hi, Up for bid is a rare 1988 Pontiac Firebird GTA edition Notchback Trans Am. 1988 is the Only year they where produced and they only made 718 of these Notchbacks. This one is even more rare because only 50 of those 718 notchback's had the 350 engine most of them have the 305 engine. This is a True GTA Notchback does have the SPi Labe. This car runs great and has only 80K original miles. It has a clean CA title and just passed the smog test with no problems. Overall it's in great shape. The dash board is not cracked or damaged. All gauges work, the controls on the steering wheel also work properly, interior has no rips or tears. Also all the turn signals, brake lights, power windows and power side rear view mirror's work great. Now for the "Negatives" on this car, one of the headlights recently stopped popping out. I believe it's the little electrical motor, I got a quote for a brand new one for $105. Also the registration is due and it's about $350. The car has a small ding by the back passenger tail light, but overall this is a great car to add to your collection. The only reason (because there's always a reason :).. I'm selling it and I hate to let go of it it's because I'm moving and can't take it with me :(  ..If you have any questions feel free to ask. Happy Bidding and Good Luck!

Wanted: 1967 Pontiac GTO for a special Father's Day

Thu, 07 Jun 2012

Jim Sharp of Elkhorn, Wisconsin needs a red 1967 Pontiac GTO to make his dad's Father's Day, possibly his last one, something extra special.
Back in the '60s, Jim's dad, Ken, drove a cherry red 1967 GTO to California for a job. He met a girl, got married and decided his wife's 1965 Ford Mustang was more fuel efficient than the Goat and the GTO was sold. As the story almost always goes, Ken has had seller's regret ever since.
Jim always meant to find a 1967 GTO and, with his dad's help, restore it. But life got in the way, time slipped by and Ken was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer and given about three months to live.

GM recalling another 1.3-million cars over power steering woes

Mon, 31 Mar 2014

When it rains, it pours. General Motors has announced yet another major recall, covering 1.3 million units in the American market over concerns that the power steering could suddenly fail. As reported by The Detroit News' David Shepardson, GM has now recalled nearly ten times as many cars as it did all of last year.
It's important to note that should this problem arise in these cars, the steering won't fail completely, however, power steering could suddenly stop functioning. Manual steering would still be possible, but as GM says, there's an increased risk of accidents, particularly at lower speeds.
Like the ignition switch recall, this latest problem covers a wide range of vehicles from Chevrolet, Saturn and Pontiac. Normally, we'd give you the full rundown in paragraph form, but the variety of models and model years means a list is just easier. So, have a look, directly from GM's press release:

Howard Stern latest in Seinfeld's passenger seat for CiCGC

Thu, 06 Feb 2014

We'll be honest: the actual cars in Jerry Seinfeld's hit internet series, Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee, typically take a back seat to the celebrities in the front row. Seinfeld usually throws in a few lines about his classic wheels in the first minute or so, and then moves on to the important business of sprightly conversation and pithy one-liners. It's great.
This time around, with legendary motormouth Howard Stern riding shotgun, the 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge that might have been a co-star, gets forgotten about almost completely. Instead, Stern spends a tremendous amount of screen time extolling the virtues of his therapy sessions, attempts to dive into Seinfeld's prowess as a lover and generally makes a nuisance of himself. Pretty much to plan, then.
Scroll below to hear Howard accuse Jerry of acting like Jesus, just before declaring himself the greatest radio personality in the history of the business.
