I have got good fuel psi & it throws a pretty spark, but doesn't fire up. Dunno? I gave up on it. Got too many other projects to finish and keep up. Don't have time I need to tear into it & give it a proper diagnosis. Will make someone a good project car or good drag car. Body is straight as arrow and interior is decent condition. Transmission is in good shape. It would catch 2nd gear all the time. Got 4 brand new tires. Bought them right before motor acted up. Maybe 500 miles on them? Also has updated ignition with MSD components & a K&N air intake kit. Just needs some TLC on engine."

Vehicle was a great vehicle, but we needed a bigger vehicle due to addition of child #3. Now it won't crank. Not sure why. It has good fuel psi and throws a pretty spark, but still doesn't start. Don't have the time to really tear into it and give it a proper diagnosis. Got too many projects to finish and maintain as it is. This would make someone a good project car or even a good drag car. The ignition has been totally upgraded with MSD components. It has a K&N air intake kit on it. The tires were bought right before the motor stopped starting. They have no more than 500 miles on them. A good car for someone with the time to diagnosis and fix it.

This Auto Aerobics car art ties our brains in knots like pretzels

Sat, 14 Dec 2013

We like cars, and we like art. Naturally, Chris Labrooy's Auto Aerobics series - computer-generated images of some seriously contorted 1968 Pontiac Bonnevilles floating in mid-air - instantly clicked with us. If the Pontiacs weren't floating or hollow, we could be fooled into believing the image is real. But where's the fun in that?
Check out the gallery we included of Labrooy's Bonneville art, and feel free too head over to his website for some Formula One humor.

Tony Stewart to star in Smoke Is The Bandit web series

Mon, 10 Mar 2014

NASCAR driver Tony Stewart is making good use of his nickname Smoke in new videos inspired by the 1970s classic Smokey and the Bandit. The original is one of the quintessential automotive movies of its era with a fantastic combination of slapstick comedy and great car stunts in a Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. If you've never seen it, check it out immediately.
In the new six-part Smoke IS the Bandit web series, Stewart takes on the role of Burt Reynolds' famous character complete with huge mustache. But instead of trying to smuggle cases of Coors beer it's Mobil 1 oil. The series promises to recreate many of the famous scenes from the movie and includes cameos from other NASCAR drivers.
To complete the look, future videos just need a quality replacement for a young Sally Field to ride shotgun. It would also be really cool if Reynolds could make a brief appearance at some point. Scroll down to check out the trailer and the first episode in the series.

Sci-fi movie Jinn features car designer, Firebird-bodied Camaro

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

If you're an automotive engineer being tormented by an immortal being made of fire, then wouldn't you think it best to have a custom coupe called the FireBreather for your getaway car? That's the FireBreather in the image above, adorned by the red wings that once fronted the Pontiac Firebird, running away from a black cloud of evil in a trailer for the movie Jinn.
The Jinn is eternal evil, always waiting for the chance to make things float across rooms before going on homicidal urban rampages. The FireBreather is a Gen-V Chevrolet Camaro - from the V6 to the ZL1 - that's been through Classic Design Concepts' extensive list of exterior and interior modifications, including entirely new front and rear fascias and side skirts, sway bars and springs, Pirelli P Zeroes and an available Edelbrock supercharger.
The movie - FireBreathing chase scenes and all - was shot in Monroe, Michigan. You can watch the trailer below, but since the FireBreather only get a couple of seconds on screen, you can find out more about it on Street Legal TV and its official site.
