76 Pontiac 50th Anniversary Gold Special Eddition Rare Trans Am - Restored on 2040-cars
Waterford, New York, United States
THIS IS ONE RARE BIRD 1976 Pontiac Trans Am Limited Edition 50th Anniversary. This car is 1 0f 1,628 - more like 1 of 580 (it was beleaved that only 580 Y82 cars had black chrome tail pipes). You are bidding on a true classic T/A that is extremely rare in this shape and condition. This is a frame off restoration which was purchased from an older female who worked for GM. This car was a rolling chaise when bought . This car was in unbelievable shape when purchased. It was garaged and had original floors and quarters (inner and outers) which are in unreal shape, the original insulation from the factory was still on the floor boards. The car was brought back to its original factory condition. It has the very rare black chrome tail pipes. The car has been more a show car for me and has won almost every show I have put it in. If you like attention, you will get it with this car. Any time someone see's it - they have a story about one they had, wish they had or knew someone that had one like it. It turns many heads and drives like a new car. These cars a getting harder to find - especially real ones - there are many clones and knock offs - but a true documented classic is hard to find. It is fully documented with PHS and has original window sticker and build sheet. The car is real and has the documents to prove it. In five more years this car will double in value. I don't use the car at all and it needs a home were someone else can use it and enjoy it. This car is worth every dime and you will not be disappointed.
THIS IS THE MUSCLE CAR TO HAVE THIS YEAR (RARE) This is a # matching Pontiac 400 6.6 liter motor with a turbo 350 tranny which was completely rebuilt top to bottom with original GM parts. Engine is not even broken in with less than 28,000 miles on it. Car has ice cold A/C with new compressor and condenser. A/C fittings have been changed from r-12 to r- 134. New master cylinder and brake booster, new power steering pump, new wires ,new plugs, new cap,new rotor, new distributor, all new hoses, all new belts, all new breather lines and check valves. All lines have been put back to factory spec. New motor mounts, new body mounts, new bushings, new upper and lower ball joints, new tie rods. Original exhaust manifolds with new exhaust from from manifolds back to the original BLACK CHROME tips. New front brakes, new rear brakes. Original honeycomb wheels and center caps with new lug nuts and new Eagle Gt II tires. New Monroe gasmatic shocks. Car has been aligned and drives better than new. New door panels, new front seats, new carpet , new headliner, new dash cap with original grain.Original am/fm radio. Original 8 track player. Radio and 8 tract were recently sent out to be reconditioned - Now both work like new. All new dash lights, head lights, parking lights. Every original book including the original package from original dealer. Original WINDOW STICKER. Original spare and jack. Paint is in very good condition - there are a couple of chips in the paint - see pics. This car is always a head turner at shows. It has won a lot of awards and the car runs like new. I cant think of anything this car needs to have replaced. Bid with confidence, this car will not disappoint. There are very few originals left - This is a no Bull car - you can research it yourself - nothing to hide. Don't be fooled by clones and people who don't list the vin number. This car is fully PHS documented. I purchased the car for $28,000 and put another $4,000 into it. This car is worth every penny and it could be yours. The car is always stored indoors. No rust on car - looks like it should be on the show room floor of a dealership. - it's that clean. Call me with any questions, or to set up a look over (518) 935-8678. an appointment to see the car. Bring your mechanic, or feel free to have the car inspected before car is purchased.

Howard Stern latest in Seinfeld's passenger seat for CiCGC
Thu, 06 Feb 2014We'll be honest: the actual cars in Jerry Seinfeld's hit internet series, Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee, typically take a back seat to the celebrities in the front row. Seinfeld usually throws in a few lines about his classic wheels in the first minute or so, and then moves on to the important business of sprightly conversation and pithy one-liners. It's great.
This time around, with legendary motormouth Howard Stern riding shotgun, the 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge that might have been a co-star, gets forgotten about almost completely. Instead, Stern spends a tremendous amount of screen time extolling the virtues of his therapy sessions, attempts to dive into Seinfeld's prowess as a lover and generally makes a nuisance of himself. Pretty much to plan, then.
Scroll below to hear Howard accuse Jerry of acting like Jesus, just before declaring himself the greatest radio personality in the history of the business.
CNN chronicles young girl building Pontiac Fiero
Fri, 26 Oct 2012At fourteen years of age, Kathryn DiMaria has already done what many self-proclaimed gearheads won't even attempt in their lifetimes. The Dearborn, Michigan teen is rebuilding a car from the ground up.
The intrepid youngster asked her parents when she was just twelve to start a Pontiac Fiero project, even offering to pony up all the funds herself. Father, Jerry DiMaria only expected the project to last a few months, but two years later, Kathryn is still at it. In this CNN video, the two are at Maker Faire (a DIY festival) rebuilding a 3.4-liter V6 engine out of a Chevrolet Camaro to replace the 2.8-liter mill found in the Fiero.
The whole family hast pitched in, with Kathryn's mother teaching her how to sew in order to complete the interior, father Jerry providing much of the technical know-how, and even her sister is chronicling Kathryn's progress through photos. Jerry even started a thread in a Fiero forum which has been live for two years and is now 22 pages long. Of the project, one forum member wrote, "welcome to the madness."
GM recalling another 1.3-million cars over power steering woes
Mon, 31 Mar 2014When it rains, it pours. General Motors has announced yet another major recall, covering 1.3 million units in the American market over concerns that the power steering could suddenly fail. As reported by The Detroit News' David Shepardson, GM has now recalled nearly ten times as many cars as it did all of last year.
It's important to note that should this problem arise in these cars, the steering won't fail completely, however, power steering could suddenly stop functioning. Manual steering would still be possible, but as GM says, there's an increased risk of accidents, particularly at lower speeds.
Like the ignition switch recall, this latest problem covers a wide range of vehicles from Chevrolet, Saturn and Pontiac. Normally, we'd give you the full rundown in paragraph form, but the variety of models and model years means a list is just easier. So, have a look, directly from GM's press release:
