This auction is for a 2001 Pontiac Trans Am Ram Air WS6.  The car has 58k original miles and runs and drives out fantastic!  It has the LS1 V8 engine with automatic transmission.  I wouldn't hesitate to drive it across the country.  The car has a clean title and Carfax.  The car has some of the following options on it.  Power windows, power locks, power mirrors, power drivers seat, power lumber seats on both sides, cruise, ICE Cold a/c, remote keyless entry, T-tops.  I also added a pict of the RPO options door sticker.

The original bright red paint on the car is in beautiful shape. I would rate it a 9 out of 10. It looks almost wet and 10ft deep it shines so well.  Very few small scratches and nicks to speak of.  Its been very well maintained and waxed regularly.  The only real significant blemish on the exterior is on the rear lower bumper by the rear drivers tail pipe. There is a small crack.  It is very hard to notice because it so minor and low on the bumper. (see pict)

The interior of the car is extremely nice as well.  It has the dark ebony leather interior that is in very nice shape with very little wear.  The leather seats are in great condition.  No tears, no cracks, etc.  It has the factory Monsoon stereo system with power antenna that sounds outstanding!  The door panels on the top edge of both sides are cracked.  Something VERY common on these cars. (see pict)

The car mechanically is very sound.  Last fall I had the transmission completely rebuilt by a very reputable shop close to me who specializes in these types of transmissions.  It has all upgraded internal parts including clutches, band, etc.  I also had a TransGo shift kit installed.  It shifts very firm and positive under hard acceleration but under normal driving it shifts just like it did from the factory.  I also had the rear end serviced with new oil at that time as well.

The car is all stock and original with the exception of an SLP air lid with K&N filter and an Ultra Flo stainless steel replacement muffler.  The car sounds identical as it did with the factory muffler.  The factory air box will also come with the car.  The wheels on the car aren't perfect and have some blemishes.  The tires are matching Z rated 275 40 17.  The front tires are about 60% the rears are around 25%.  The brakes and factory exhaust are also in good shape!

The only 2  issues I know of with the car is it does leak some oil drips on the garage floor.  The other is the security light on the dash is on.  Im sure it has something to do with the ignition/key switch.  The key doesn't fit very tight and will pull out.  It has never gave me any kind of a problem and I hadn't gotten around to having that fixed.

I have done my very best to describe this car as detailed as I can and mention and show the imperfections.  It isn't perfect but very nice for a 12 year old car.  Anyone wanting to see the car in person is welcomed to, just email to set up a time.  Car is sold "AS-IS WHERE-IS" with no warranty of any kind.  Buyer to pay a $500 deposit through PAYPAL within 24 hours of auctions end.  Full payment due in within 7 days of auctions end.  This is a NO RESERVE auction!

How to turn a Pontiac Fiero into a trackday car

Fri, 17 Oct 2014

Imagine hitting the track in a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive sports coupe that's affordable and has pretty good parts availability. It might sound like a pipe dream, but it's actually quite possible, if you're willing to think a little outside the box. The Pontiac Fiero is out there just waiting for a little work to turn it into a competent racing machine.
Think about it for a second. Of course, we would all like to be snaking through the curves in something exotic, but what happens when you crash or something breaks? The bills are going to mount up quickly. However, if you ball up a Fiero at the track, as long as you're not hurt, then it's not a huge tragedy.
That's basically the story of Steven Snyder in a new video from Drive starring Matt Farah. Snyder wanted to go to the track cheaply and ended up with an awesome little Fiero with a huge wing and a claimed 220 horsepower at the wheels thanks to a V6 from a Chevrolet Lumina. Check out the video to see how this pint-size Pontiac performs.

Hurst Edition Trans Am proves the Screaming Chicken will rise from the ashes

Wed, 31 Oct 2012

It seems the Pontiac Trans Am steadfastly refuses to die. Ever since Chevrolet was granted a retrofied Camaro to compete with the Ford Mustang, Pontiac lovers have lamented the loss of this 1970s icon. And, looking at the Hurst Edition from Trans Am Depot, shown here at the 2012 SEMA Show, may explain what all the fuss is about.
It's not going to appeal to everyone's muscle-car tastes, but there's certainly room for a brash-and-bold black-and-gold Special Edition in many a Trans Am lover's garage. After all, if you want the keys to a custom pony car, you'll certainly get noticed in this one. If this scheme isn't your bag,, you can alternatively order your Hurst Edition in white and gold or silver and black. Oh, and don't forget a color-coordinated Screaming Chicken on the hood.
No matter which way you choose to go, your inner Burt Reynolds will appreciate the Eibach suspension kit, forged wheels with Pirelli PZero tires, functional shaker hood, fender air extractors, rear spoiler and, of course, a Hurst shifter inside. The interior is emblazoned with all manner of special touches, including a Hurst dash plate and T/A stitching on the Katzkin two-tone leather seats.

1939 Pontiac Ghost Car commands $308,000 at auction

Mon, 01 Aug 2011

For the 1939 World's Fair, Pontiac built a Deluxe Six bodied in Plexiglass. Part of the Previews of Progress pavilion in which General Motors' Futurama showed off what was to come in the world of autos, the 'invisible' Pontiac is credited as the first transparent car in America. And there were no shortcuts taken with its body: the Plexiglass form was fabricated by the company that brought the material to market in 1933, Rohm & Haas.
The see-through sedan was sold at RM Auctions' St. John's auction in Michigan on July 30, fetching $308,000. Not bad appreciation for a domestic oddity that cost $25,000 to build when new. You can check out the high-res gallery of its innards, including copper and chrome metalwork and white moldings and wheels, and get the exhaustive details on it after the jump.
