This car is in excellent condition . It drives like a brand new car & runs A1 . I put a Brand New set of BF Goodrich G-Force tires on it with less than 500 miles on them & did an alignment . I also just put new premium wiper blades on it & replaced both headlight motors & both sets of high beams & low beams . I also put a flowmaster muffler on it & replaced the factory broken power antenna with a brand new standard antenna from the dealership . I also replaced the interior speakers with Infinity speakers . I own several F-Body's currently with alot less miles on them & I can prove to you that this car runs as good or better than any of them . Its incredible how smooth it runs & drives . Also the interior is nearly flawless & looks like it hasn't hardly been sat in . The exterior of the car is also in great condition with no dents or dings however the paint is only in average condition for 16 year old paint . The paint looks good for the age of the car with minor scratches & swirls everywhere except the top of the trunk . There are more scratches on it because the previous owner sat boxes on it in the garage . In my opinion I wouldn't paint the car unless you wanted to make it show quality but you may decide to paint just the trunk lid .Also the car has had a factory style WS6 hood added to it not a cheap aftermarket hood which is very expensive. I bought this car from a middle age women that had it since 1999 for my wife but I found her a 1999 WS6 for $14,000 that she liked a little better so im selling this one . Im loosing alot of money on this car because I easily have $10,000 in it & have put less than 500 miles on it since bringing it here from Georgia. The convertible top is also in good condition with no rips or tears . Everything on the car is in working order that im aware of & I would trust this car to drive anywhere .Im pricing the car to sell fast so don't miss out on a great car . You can see by my feedback that I don't get over on people so you can trust what im telling you . If you have any questions please contact me at 317-603-2217

GM recalling 8.4M cars, 8.2M related to ignition problems

Mon, 30 Jun 2014

General Motors today announced a truly massive recall covering some 8.4 million vehicles in North America. Most significantly, 8.2 million examples of the affected vehicles are being called back due to "unintended ignition key rotation," though GM spokesperson Alan Adler tells Autoblog that this issue is not like the infamous Chevy Cobalt ignition switch fiasco.
For the sake of perspective, translated to US population, this total recall figure would equal a car for each resident of New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, the District of Columbia, Vermont and Wyoming. Combined. Here's how it all breaks down:
7,610,862 vehicles in North America being recalled for unintended ignition key rotation. 6,805,679 are in the United States.

GM doing fine at retaining Pontiac owners

Fri, 28 Oct 2011

This isn't the first time we've reported positive news about General Motors retaining former Pontiac owners. Get a few more stories like this latest report from Edmund's Auto Observer, and it will mark an ongoing positive trend for GM. Edmunds.com crunched the numbers to see how well the General is hanging on to customers after shutting out the lights at Pontiac, and it found that nearly 40 percent of Pontiac owners stayed with a vehicle from a General Motors brand.
The numbers are a little lower than an earlier R.L. Polk & Company study, but Edmunds says General Motors is keeping more former Pontiac buyers than it has since 2007. Most are turning to vehicles from Chevrolet, especially during January and February of 2011, when GM incentivized Pontiac owners to stay under the umbrella. Those moves seem to have worked, and 28.1 percent of Pontiac owners trading up made the jump into a Bowtie.
Buyers that have gone elsewhere have largely stayed loyal to Domestic automakers, with Ford picking up the most conquests from Pontiac, with 9.4 percent switching. Toyota and Honda picked up 7.4 percent of the pool of former Pontiac drivers. The numbers are defying any predictions that Pontiac buyers would completely exit the General Motors fold, and have climbed up closer to parity with the retention figures of other GM brands from a 2009 low of only 16 percent retention.

Lutz says Washington killed Pontiac, next G6 was to be ATS derivative

Tue, 29 Oct 2013

How many people think Buick or GMC should have gotten the axe instead of Pontiac? You can't see it, but I'm raising my hand. Autoweek reports that former Vice Chairman of GM, Bob Lutz, has indicated that things didn't have to end up the way they did.
"The Feds said, 'Yeah, how much money have you made on Pontiac in the last 10 years?' and the answer was, 'Nothing.'"
In a talk given at the Petersen Automotive Museum for the Inside the MotoMan Studio series, Lutz says "The Feds said, 'Yeah, how much money have you made on Pontiac in the last 10 years?' and the answer was, 'Nothing.' So, it goes. And when the guy who is handing you the check for $53 billion says, 'I don't want Pontiac, drop Pontiac or you don't get the money,' it doesn't take you very long to make up your mind." Lutz even added that the next-generation Pontiac G6 would have benefitted from the rear-wheel-drive platform of the Cadillac ATS. How awesome would that have been?
