1985 Pontiac Trans Am 383 Stroker, Heat, Air, Remote Start, Door Popers, Leather on 2040-cars
Saint Louis, Missouri, United States
This Is a 1985 Pontiac with a create Chevy 350 bored out with forged pistons and aftermarket cam. It is really fast and has alot of torque. The original mileage is about 78,000 but the motor only has about 30,000 if that. I have had the vehicle for about 5 years now. I got it painted by Bills Auto here is Missouri. The paint is from the House of Color. It is the very expensive candy apple red. I had the seats leather upholstered to match the car less than 3 years ago. This car hasnt had to much road time. when I bought it I fixed it up drove it for about a year as a primary vehicle but never in snow!!!! I bought something different and this car has just been sitting only driven on weekends to show off a little. But I have been driving it for the last week back and forth to work and decided that it was time to let her go. I recently moved and have no garage at all. I don't want to hurt the paint having it just sit outside under a car cover till summer. Its getting cold and rainy here in Saint Louis and without the proper protection from the winter conditions everything I put it to it will slowly become needing to be done again. The car has Shaved door handles so it is very hard to steal and the alarm makes it hard to even be touched without someone noticing. It has door poppers for both the drivers side and passenger side but the trunk is manual just encase the battery dies. It has a remote control start that works just fine. The car is carburated so sometimes on cold start it might take a few tries but it does attempt to start every-time. There is no rust on car, the doors don't sag at all because I Had all hinges and nuts and bolts replaced when I got the Poppers installed. I don't think there is anything i'm leaving out. I will be uploading more pictures later this week when the sun comes out a little more. if you have any questions you can call 314-585-3133 or message me here and I will get back with you Asap.....Thank you and good luck bidding. Shipping is fairly cheap if needed. I can get the vehicle shipped to you for $350 anywhere or you can come and get it. Thanks again for Looking. I do not require a paypal payment but I would rather payment to be either cash in person, wire transfer or cashiers check.. Also All lights work great. The lights come up and down like the are supposed to.
On Oct-22-13 at 06:56:03 PDT, seller added the following information: The paint is perfect besides the small chip on the front and the seats have no rips or tears. |

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
GM recalling 8.4M cars, 8.2M related to ignition problems
Mon, 30 Jun 2014General Motors today announced a truly massive recall covering some 8.4 million vehicles in North America. Most significantly, 8.2 million examples of the affected vehicles are being called back due to "unintended ignition key rotation," though GM spokesperson Alan Adler tells Autoblog that this issue is not like the infamous Chevy Cobalt ignition switch fiasco.
For the sake of perspective, translated to US population, this total recall figure would equal a car for each resident of New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, the District of Columbia, Vermont and Wyoming. Combined. Here's how it all breaks down:
7,610,862 vehicles in North America being recalled for unintended ignition key rotation. 6,805,679 are in the United States.
