Available for sale is this all original 1980 Turbo Trans Am with 25,448 miles. I have owned this car since September of 2000 and have put less than 500 miles on it. I would rather someone have it that can drive and enjoy it more than I, and I could use the room in my garage. It runs great but will leave a few drops of oil on the floor after a drive. I have done nothing to the engine except change the oil. The turbo lights do work. If I were keeping the car, I would replace the hood insulation. As typical with these cars, the T-Tops will drip a little. I found this out while washing it, it has not been in the rain since I have owned it. I had a car like this in high school and it did the same thing.
The exterior is in very good shape although I would not classify it as perfect. There is no evidence in the sheetmetal that it has been wrecked, but a couple areas look like the paint has been blended---pretty decently I might add. Overall, the paint and decals are in very good condition with some normal wear on the decals. Photos are included or available of all described areas. The wheels are in very good shape also and do not have any piting. There is no rust on the inside of the trunk lid as was common on Trans Ams.
The interior is pretty much flawless, only showing normal wear but it still looks brand new. The hobnail cloth is in excellent condition. If I were keeping the car however, I would replace the drivers side seat foam as it seems to me that it needs to be firmer. Not a difficult fix if you so choose.
That is the extent of the flaws in this car. This is a Canadian car so the picture of the odometer shows the mileage in Kilometers, not miles. The title shows the Km converted to miles, done by the Indiana BMV. It is a clear title.

Watch this garbage truck consume a Pontiac Grand Am
Wed, 15 May 2013When an old car or truck offers its dying breath in your driveway and you just don't have the financial or mechanical wherewithal to resuscitate it yet again, you traditionally have to go to the trouble of calling a flatbed or a tow truck to come haul it away. That usually helps to put a few bucks in your wallet and helps recycle some of the vehicle's parts, but the transaction doesn't seem as final or perversely satisfying as the dispatch service that this New Way Cobra Magnum garbage truck offers.
Okay, okay, so this refuse hauler isn't actually designed for this sort of thing, but it's oddly comforting to know that a sanitation truck can compact a hapless Pontiac Grand Am into oblivion. How to turn a Pontiac Fiero into a trackday car
Fri, 17 Oct 2014Imagine hitting the track in a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive sports coupe that's affordable and has pretty good parts availability. It might sound like a pipe dream, but it's actually quite possible, if you're willing to think a little outside the box. The Pontiac Fiero is out there just waiting for a little work to turn it into a competent racing machine.
Think about it for a second. Of course, we would all like to be snaking through the curves in something exotic, but what happens when you crash or something breaks? The bills are going to mount up quickly. However, if you ball up a Fiero at the track, as long as you're not hurt, then it's not a huge tragedy.
That's basically the story of Steven Snyder in a new video from Drive starring Matt Farah. Snyder wanted to go to the track cheaply and ended up with an awesome little Fiero with a huge wing and a claimed 220 horsepower at the wheels thanks to a V6 from a Chevrolet Lumina. Saturn Vue ignition switch leads to new group of GM recalls totaling 312k
Fri, 08 Aug 2014General Motors has another spate of recalls to announce. This time they cover 312,280 vehicles worldwide, including 269,041 of in the US, in a total of six campaigns. In 2014, the automaker has recalled 29,079,765 vehicles worldwide, with 25,754,356 of those in the US.
The largest among them covers 215,243 units of the Saturn Vue from 2002-2004 model years worldwide, 202,115 in the US. It's possible for the for the key to be removed even when the ignition isn't in the OFF position. The company knows of two crashes and one injury caused by this problem. Dealers are checking the parts and replacing the ignition cylinder and key set, if necessary.
Next is 72,826 models worldwide (48,059 vehicles in the US) of the 2013 Cadillac ATS four-door sedan, 2013 Buick Encore and 2013 Chevy Trax in Canada. It's possible that the for lap belt pretensioner to retract but not to lock, which could increase occupant movement during a crash. Both front, outboard lap belt pretensioners are being replaced, and a stop-sale is in effect on unsold models until the problem is repaired. There are no known crashes or injuries, though.
