You are bidding on a very nice original "SURVIVOR" 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. Two owner car! This car has 62,103 original miles! This TA has never seen winter! The TA has it's original paint/interior/T-Top bags etc...! The only things that have been changed on this car over the years were the tires, brakes, hoses, battery, and fluids! The car is a true SURVIVOR in every way! The bottom of the car is as it rolled off the show room floor in 1979! "NO UNDERCOATING to hide anything!!! The car still retains it's original tags on the rear springs as seen in the pictures below as well as factory chalk markings on rear lower bumper. "See picture below." The original exhaust and cat and exhaust tips are still on the car as well! The interior is in all most perfect condition with the exception of the T-Top head liner begining to fall and the side plastics oxidating like they all do. The body of the car is in good shape with the exception of a few dings and dents over the years. Dent wizard should be able to pull out. The air conditioning belt needs to be replaced as it was the original and showing wear so it was removed. "Air conditioning unit spins freely!" Other belt is original to the car with GM part number still on it! "May want to replace." All original TA decals still on the car to include the bird on the hood! 100% ALL ORIGINAL BODY PANELS!!!" The bottom of the door, rockers etc are amazing....! The car runs amazing and never has any trouble starting or stopping! There are alot of nice restored Trans Am's out there, but how many are still all original? I did not detail the motor compartment of paint the moldings around the window as I was advised to do because I wanted everyone to see the car for what the car is, a true SURVIVOR. This is a true classic that needs a good detailing to make it a great show car, or family cruiser to get ice cream on a hot Saturday night. This Trans Am speaks for itself and I have nothing to hide so please feel free to come out and look at it in person, you will not find a nicer all original 1979 TA for the money! Please contact me through Ebay for my contact information if you would like to talk about the car further. Thanks and happy bidding! Someone is going to get a very nice TA!!!

GM recalling another 2.7 million vehicles in five separate campaigns
Thu, 15 May 2014The recalls keep rolling in from General Motors, evidently keen to avoid repeating the mistakes of the ignition-switch debacle and clean house. This time they're all coming at once, with five separate recalls announced together covering approximately 2.7 million vehicles.
The largest of the five actions involves over 2.4 million units of the previous-generation Chevrolet Malibu and Malibu Maxx, Pontiac G6 and Saturn Aura in order to fix brake light wiring harness, which have been found to be susceptible to corrosion. The recall is separate from the 56k Aura sedans which GM recently recalled over faulty shift cables, not to mention the previous massive recall of 1.3 million vehicles - some of them the same models - but appears to have resulted from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation that started with the G6 almost a year ago.
The second-largest campaign involves the 2014 Chevy Malibu, specifically those fitted with GM's 2.5-liter engine and stop/start system, approximately 140,000 examples of which has been found to have problematic brakes. The issue does not appear to be connected to the recall of 8k Malibu and Buick LaCrosse sedans (also involving brake woes) which we reported upon last week. Four crashes have been reported in such models, but GM admits it's not yet clear if the problem was a contributing factor in the accidents.
Check out the official 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition commercial
Sat, 16 Mar 2013
The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.
Lutz says Washington killed Pontiac, next G6 was to be ATS derivative
Tue, 29 Oct 2013How many people think Buick or GMC should have gotten the axe instead of Pontiac? You can't see it, but I'm raising my hand. Autoweek reports that former Vice Chairman of GM, Bob Lutz, has indicated that things didn't have to end up the way they did.
"The Feds said, 'Yeah, how much money have you made on Pontiac in the last 10 years?' and the answer was, 'Nothing.'"
In a talk given at the Petersen Automotive Museum for the Inside the MotoMan Studio series, Lutz says "The Feds said, 'Yeah, how much money have you made on Pontiac in the last 10 years?' and the answer was, 'Nothing.' So, it goes. And when the guy who is handing you the check for $53 billion says, 'I don't want Pontiac, drop Pontiac or you don't get the money,' it doesn't take you very long to make up your mind." Lutz even added that the next-generation Pontiac G6 would have benefitted from the rear-wheel-drive platform of the Cadillac ATS. How awesome would that have been?
