TITLE: Clear Ohio title in hand.

For your consideration I have a nice 1979 Trans Am for sale. The engine runs strong and sweet, past owner said it was a 400, but I think it a 301, it runs like a 400, it has a 4 barrel carb "cold natured", the Turbo 350 automatic transmission shifts nice, the 10 bolt rear-end has no whines or growls, the tires are good, the paint is slick with not dents, no dings and no rust, a couple of touched up chips, the wiper work, the tach works, the gauges work, the exhaust system is in good condition, it needs tail pipes, the AC is all in place and not working, the interior is used, but good, it is power steering, power brakes with disc in front and drums in the rear, the parking brake is not working, the decals are good, the headlights work, the turn signals work, the brake lights work. This is a nice car, its just no 100 point show car.

BEST THINGS ABOUT THE CAR: The paint is nice, the body is great, no rust issues that I see, the underside is solid, the engine runs good, the transmission shifts good, the gauges work, the tires are good.

WORST THING ABOUT THE CAR: The AC needs work.

Athens does have a good small airport, but has no commercial flights.

I have held too many cars that people promise me they are going to buy and they never show up, their wife won’t let them buy it, they can’t get a loan or they just back out. Before you drive or fly a long distance you need to make sure the car is not sold. “The way I look at it is until you pay a deposit you’re just looking and dreaming”.

INSPECTIONS: Please come look and be happy. All inspections are required to be done before the end of the listing. I listed this car as I see it as a 66 year old car restorer, please come and judge it for your self. I judge the car to my standards, this may not be yours. Paid inspectors are unpredictable, you might get a good one, but some of them do not impress me at all,  they can make a good car sound bad on the report. They have to be very critical to cover their back sides and all their concerned about is getting paid. I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking, but I think you should come look yourself. I don’t like paid inspectors, I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves. I think its fine to send a friend to inspect for you. To make it clear, don’t hit the buy now button and then inspect, come inspect first!

BOTTOM LINE: Sorry, but my firm price is $11,700 I'm asking more on the local market. The game is not rocket science, ask a price and come down. It’s not fun to bargain over the cell phone all day long with people that live 2000 miles away and are not going to buy anyway. My firm price is the Buy Now price. I have sold every car I have ever tried to, so I’m not motivated to be bargained down.
