Up for auction is a very nice 1979, Mayan Red Pontiac Firebird Trans Am.It has 111,200. It is all original and has matching numbers. We have owned this for 14 years, mainly took it to car shows. We are sorry to let it go,but we just don't seem to have the time anymore to make it to the shows. We have the original sticker , owners manual, repair manual. All gages work Airconditioner works but I think it needs charged. The original paint has some rust as seen in pictures. On front coner of the car there is a place that has some touch up paint on it it was there when we bought it. A chip of paint off on the trunk. The decal has some cracks but still looks pretty sharp. The drivers seat is getting some holes in it,as seen in the picture.Ther is hole in the carpet drivers side,as seen in the picture. We have always kepted it in the garage. I believe we are the second owners. The car is unrestored. It seems to be a very solid car. The doors shut well and don't sag.We have replaced the tires, leaf springs, shocks, front disc breaks,, dual flow master muflers and master cylinder. I have try to describe this car to the best of my knowledge. The car is sold as is. no warranty. Thanks for looking.

Looking back at Oprah's free-car giveaway 10 years later
Fri, 12 Sep 2014
Oprah kicked off her 19th season in dramatic fashion by giving all 276 members of the studio audience a free car.
Molly Vielweber's Pontiac G6 appears unremarkable at first glance. It wears forest green paint, rolls on five-spoke aluminum wheels, and it has a sizeable scrape in the driver's side door, the scar of a decade's worth of hard use. You wouldn't notice it parked at a big box store or cruising on the highway. Pontiac made hundreds of thousands of G6s in the 2000s, and a lot are still on the road. It's unremarkable in every way except for the front license plate, which reads, "Oprah 6."
Sci-fi movie Jinn features car designer, Firebird-bodied Camaro
Tue, 08 Apr 2014If you're an automotive engineer being tormented by an immortal being made of fire, then wouldn't you think it best to have a custom coupe called the FireBreather for your getaway car? That's the FireBreather in the image above, adorned by the red wings that once fronted the Pontiac Firebird, running away from a black cloud of evil in a trailer for the movie Jinn.
The Jinn is eternal evil, always waiting for the chance to make things float across rooms before going on homicidal urban rampages. The FireBreather is a Gen-V Chevrolet Camaro - from the V6 to the ZL1 - that's been through Classic Design Concepts' extensive list of exterior and interior modifications, including entirely new front and rear fascias and side skirts, sway bars and springs, Pirelli P Zeroes and an available Edelbrock supercharger.
The movie - FireBreathing chase scenes and all - was shot in Monroe, Michigan. You can watch the trailer below, but since the FireBreather only get a couple of seconds on screen, you can find out more about it on Street Legal TV and its official site.
This Auto Aerobics car art ties our brains in knots like pretzels
Sat, 14 Dec 2013We like cars, and we like art. Naturally, Chris Labrooy's Auto Aerobics series - computer-generated images of some seriously contorted 1968 Pontiac Bonnevilles floating in mid-air - instantly clicked with us. If the Pontiacs weren't floating or hollow, we could be fooled into believing the image is real. But where's the fun in that?
Check out the gallery we included of Labrooy's Bonneville art, and feel free too head over to his website for some Formula One humor.
