Condition and Features
The engine runs exceptionally well and accelerates great.
The transmission shifts perfectly between gears.
The interior is in really good condition. There are some tears in the center console compartment top.
Three of the tires are in excellent condition but one tire is showing some metal threads on the outside.
The engine has several Edelbrock parts including the carburetor, manifolds, and valve covers.
The shifter is a B&M shifter.
The motor is the 400 engine and is 6.6 liters. As stated before it runs great and sounds incredible.
The rims are not original but are American Racing rims which I believe are called "Outlaw" rims.
There is visible damage to the driver's side front floor pan which I am going to post a picture of.
The car was originally red but was painted black at some point and striped with correct gold striping and german lettering included on the special edition trans ams.
The paint job is in pretty good condition as can be seen in the photos attached.
The body is in pretty good shape. There is a spot on the body by the driver's side door at the bottom which would need some attention.
There is one small spot on the passenger side door skin about 4 inches long that would need to be touched up.
There are two small tears on the top of the dash board but the rest looks great.
There aren't any holes in the trunk and it appears to be solid.
At some point, one of the previous owners had the windshield replaced and a cam installed in the engine.
I think the shocks would need to be replaced as well.
The breaks are in good shape as well.
A previous owner also had a high performance dual exhaust system installed.

According to the VIN, the car was manufactured in Ohio and I bought this car off eBay a few months ago.

Hurst Edition Trans Am proves the Screaming Chicken will rise from the ashes
Wed, 31 Oct 2012It seems the Pontiac Trans Am steadfastly refuses to die. Ever since Chevrolet was granted a retrofied Camaro to compete with the Ford Mustang, Pontiac lovers have lamented the loss of this 1970s icon. And, looking at the Hurst Edition from Trans Am Depot, shown here at the 2012 SEMA Show, may explain what all the fuss is about.
It's not going to appeal to everyone's muscle-car tastes, but there's certainly room for a brash-and-bold black-and-gold Special Edition in many a Trans Am lover's garage. After all, if you want the keys to a custom pony car, you'll certainly get noticed in this one. If this scheme isn't your bag,, you can alternatively order your Hurst Edition in white and gold or silver and black. Oh, and don't forget a color-coordinated Screaming Chicken on the hood.
No matter which way you choose to go, your inner Burt Reynolds will appreciate the Eibach suspension kit, forged wheels with Pirelli PZero tires, functional shaker hood, fender air extractors, rear spoiler and, of course, a Hurst shifter inside. The interior is emblazoned with all manner of special touches, including a Hurst dash plate and T/A stitching on the Katzkin two-tone leather seats.
CNN chronicles young girl building Pontiac Fiero
Fri, 26 Oct 2012At fourteen years of age, Kathryn DiMaria has already done what many self-proclaimed gearheads won't even attempt in their lifetimes. The Dearborn, Michigan teen is rebuilding a car from the ground up.
The intrepid youngster asked her parents when she was just twelve to start a Pontiac Fiero project, even offering to pony up all the funds herself. Father, Jerry DiMaria only expected the project to last a few months, but two years later, Kathryn is still at it. In this CNN video, the two are at Maker Faire (a DIY festival) rebuilding a 3.4-liter V6 engine out of a Chevrolet Camaro to replace the 2.8-liter mill found in the Fiero.
The whole family hast pitched in, with Kathryn's mother teaching her how to sew in order to complete the interior, father Jerry providing much of the technical know-how, and even her sister is chronicling Kathryn's progress through photos. Jerry even started a thread in a Fiero forum which has been live for two years and is now 22 pages long. Of the project, one forum member wrote, "welcome to the madness."
Looking back at Oprah's free-car giveaway 10 years later
Fri, 12 Sep 2014
Oprah kicked off her 19th season in dramatic fashion by giving all 276 members of the studio audience a free car.
Molly Vielweber's Pontiac G6 appears unremarkable at first glance. It wears forest green paint, rolls on five-spoke aluminum wheels, and it has a sizeable scrape in the driver's side door, the scar of a decade's worth of hard use. You wouldn't notice it parked at a big box store or cruising on the highway. Pontiac made hundreds of thousands of G6s in the 2000s, and a lot are still on the road. It's unremarkable in every way except for the front license plate, which reads, "Oprah 6."
