1976 Pontiac Trans Am, 455, 4sp. original drivetrain runs very good. No issues starts right up and runs strong. The body needs some patches but very solid. Great original floors, trunk, running boards, undercarriage, all very good. Needs very little for restoration. Needs new interior seat covers, carpet, dash cracked. This car is complete, no missing parts except 2 fender flares and emblems. 9epoxy gave up and they fell off.) Has all shaker hood hardware and shaker in excellent shape. Completely original, not modified or changed. All factory original car. Numbers matching, original throughout. Rare 455, 4sp., posi. All numbers matching, all original. Factory/Dealer installed CB radio. Southern Virginia car raised and stored down south. Incredible restoration project on a rare T/A. One of the very last 455 made. Original female owner bought this car late in 76 and the production run is in the last weeks of 455's. I bought it from her 2 years ago with the intent to restore. too many projects, have to let her go.(although I really hate to) This car was well stored away in 1985. Just out of the barn and has been gone through, starts right up and drives very good. This is a VERY fast car! I have car listed locally and on craigslist. I reserve the right to cancel at any time. Thanks, good luck. Call with questions. 8022742877 Relisted due to non paying buyer. Only bid if you have the funds available to purchase. Thanks.

eBay Find of the Day: 1967 Pontiac GTO Monkeemobile
Sun, 29 Apr 2012Say what you will about The Monkees, but the guys in the band had great taste in automobiles. Take the Monkeemobile, for example. Built off a 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible, the custom featured genuinely interesting bodywork and some wild engine bolt-ons. If you're a fan of 1960s pop and yearn to relive the genre's glory days, eBay Motors may have what you need. A recreation of the 1967 Monkeemobile has showed up for auction. This particular replica was built by Dakota County Customs using an four-speed GTO, just like the original.
Built for the band's 45th anniversary and the final Monkees tour last year, this Monkeemobile is faithful down to every last detail. Unfortunately, the trumpet exhaust poking out of the front fender wells and the massive gold-flake blower are for show only. Seems fitting.
If you like what you see, this machine is up for bid in Richfield, Minnesota with two days left on the auctions. So far, bidding as whipped up to $60,000 with the reserve not met. Head over to eBay Motors to have a look.
Rumormill: DeLorean Motor Company considering rescuing Pontiac Solstice?
Wed, 07 Oct 2009 DeLorean Motor Company Pontiac Solstice renderings - Click above for high-res image gallery
General Motors has made a science out of sharing platforms. So when the company's Kappa platform was introduced for a new rear-drive roadster to be distributed across three different motor divisions, you'd have figured the program was pretty safe, right? Unfortunately for the workers at the Wilmington Assembly Plant which manufactured the Kappa roadsters, those three divisions were Pontiac, Saturn and Opel - three units which the General has either sold or shut down. Which is a shame, because a perfectly good rear-drive roadster platform is a heck of a thing to waste.
In one of the strangest rumors we've heard recently, however, our compatriots over at Jalopnik report that the DeLorean Motor Company (yes, that DeLorean Motor Company) is considering buying the plant and the platform from GM and putting it back into production as a new DMC.
Watch as Hot Rod goes from El Paso to LA the hard way
Tue, 21 Feb 2012There are few things simultaneously more romantic and idiotic than taking a road trip in a beaten-down heap of a car. Trust us. We know. David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan of Hot Rod Magazine fame recently undertook an epic trip from El Paso, Texas to Los Angeles with the express goal of doing so for under $1,500, including the purchase price of a vehicle, food, lodging, repairs and, most importantly, fuel. With this in mind, the duo settled on a 1972 Pontiac Catalina for a lofty $650. Hilarity ensues.
Realizing that no one actually wants a Catalina sulking around the shop, Freiburger and Finnegan put the car up for auction on eBay Motors the instant they had the title in hand. By the time they rolled into Hot Rod HQ, the vehicle sold for a little over $500.
The video is part of a new series called Roadkill that should document similar adventures. Keep your eyes peeled for more calamity-soaked clips in the near future. In the meantime, hit the jump to check it out yourself.
