the 1973 trans am,the last high performance motor from the original muscle car generation.it was the pontiac trans am 455 cubic inches ! all told 1973 was a very good year for trans am .you had the best production engine ,best styled, and the best sales to date . in total 4722 trans ams were built.almost 4 times increase over the previous year .only 1420 were built with a 4spd and that number is even smaller when you add air conditioning. so what i have is a fully restored, PHS documented, frame off restoration 1973 pontiac trans am ,455,4sp,air conditionig ,power brakes ,a/m f/m 8 track ,center console ,delux black interior, cameo white paint, all new bushings and seals and shocks ,brakes. stting on top of the original rally wheels complete with trim rings and ceter caps in great condition with brand new 15 inch bf goodrich radial ta's .new carpet ,winshield,,headliner, dual exhaust rubbers, and of course a fresh #s matching 455 professionally rebuilt with matching factory 4spd transmission.only miles put on this car was to break in motor . my estimate is this is one of maybe at best four hundred 4spd a/c trans am's left in the world!this car was stored in 1996 and was not touched untill october of 2012 and thats when the restoration began.it is now complete and ready for the next 40 years and is looking for a new caretaker to enjoy and look after so it can be enjoyed by many more generations for many generations .this is a very rare and unique muscle car that still retains its original unhacked dashboard( in great condition) am/fm 8 track and center console door panels and seats motor and tranny . to find one for sale is rare and to own one is to be a part of a very small number of collectors and owners who share the same passion for these rare birds .i have sold many muscle cars here on ebay all over the world. my auctions are always no reserve and you should bid to win !! this car is for sale locally and i reserve the right to end the auction at anytime(although i never have ). if you have any questions please ask .i can also help with any arangements to help with the delivery of this beautiful car (at your cost) thanx for looking and enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!

NHTSA could add 1M cars to GM recall
Wed, 13 Mar 2013
The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration may expand a recall campaign for faulty brake lamps. The agency is currently looking into complaints that certain 2004-2011 Chevrolet Malibu models as well as some 2007-2009 Saturn Aura sedans may have brake lights that do not illuminate when the driver presses the pedal. Alternatively, the lamps may also illuminate without input from the driver. General Motors recalled 8,000 Pontiac G6 models from the 2005 model year for the same problem, and NHTSA is currently investigating whether to add 550,000 more G6 models built between 2005 and 2009 to the list for the same issue.
In addition, investigators are currently examining 97 complaints from Malibu and Aura owners with the same trouble. If NHTSA adds those models to the recall campaign, more than one million units could be covered. GM, meanwhile, says there have been no accidents or injuries as a result of the problem.
Rumormill: DeLorean Motor Company considering rescuing Pontiac Solstice?
Wed, 07 Oct 2009 DeLorean Motor Company Pontiac Solstice renderings - Click above for high-res image gallery
General Motors has made a science out of sharing platforms. So when the company's Kappa platform was introduced for a new rear-drive roadster to be distributed across three different motor divisions, you'd have figured the program was pretty safe, right? Unfortunately for the workers at the Wilmington Assembly Plant which manufactured the Kappa roadsters, those three divisions were Pontiac, Saturn and Opel - three units which the General has either sold or shut down. Which is a shame, because a perfectly good rear-drive roadster platform is a heck of a thing to waste.
In one of the strangest rumors we've heard recently, however, our compatriots over at Jalopnik report that the DeLorean Motor Company (yes, that DeLorean Motor Company) is considering buying the plant and the platform from GM and putting it back into production as a new DMC.
GM recalling 8.4M cars, 8.2M related to ignition problems
Mon, 30 Jun 2014General Motors today announced a truly massive recall covering some 8.4 million vehicles in North America. Most significantly, 8.2 million examples of the affected vehicles are being called back due to "unintended ignition key rotation," though GM spokesperson Alan Adler tells Autoblog that this issue is not like the infamous Chevy Cobalt ignition switch fiasco.
For the sake of perspective, translated to US population, this total recall figure would equal a car for each resident of New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, the District of Columbia, Vermont and Wyoming. Combined. Here's how it all breaks down:
7,610,862 vehicles in North America being recalled for unintended ignition key rotation. 6,805,679 are in the United States.
