THIS IS A UNRESTORED CAR THAT NEEDS FULL RESTORATION INCLUDING LOWER QUARTERS BEHIND REAR WHEELS. THIS CAR CAME FROM KENTUCKY AND SAT FOR MANY YEARS. I HAD NEW EXHAUST AND A GOOD SET OF USED TRIES PUT ON AND AJUSTED THE BRAKES. I CLEANED THE TANK/CARB AND GOT THE MOTOR RUNNING SOUNDS A LITTLE ROUGH BECAUSE OF EXHAUST LEAK ON MANIFOLD. IT DOES NOT HAVE THE CORRECT MOTOR (ITS A 400 TRANS AM MOTOR FROM THE EARLY SEVENTIES) IT DOES RUN BUT POORLY AND HAS A EXHAUST LEAK ON THE MANIFOLD TO THE MOTOR ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. THE CAR WILL NEED TO BE TRAILERED AND SHOULD NOT BE BOUGHT COMPARING TO A RESTORED ONE. IT IS BEING SOLD AS IS NEEDING COMPLETE RESTORATION AND AS IS WITH NO WARRANTY. THE WINSHEILD HAS A CRACK AND NEEDS REPLACING.
ON THE UPSIDE THESE CARS ARE REALLY AWESOME RESTORED AND WOULD BE A GREAT PROJECT.
THE INTERIOR IS SUPER NICE AND PROBABLY COULD BE USED--NEEDS HEADLINER

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
GM recalling 8.4M cars, 8.2M related to ignition problems
Mon, 30 Jun 2014General Motors today announced a truly massive recall covering some 8.4 million vehicles in North America. Most significantly, 8.2 million examples of the affected vehicles are being called back due to "unintended ignition key rotation," though GM spokesperson Alan Adler tells Autoblog that this issue is not like the infamous Chevy Cobalt ignition switch fiasco.
For the sake of perspective, translated to US population, this total recall figure would equal a car for each resident of New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, the District of Columbia, Vermont and Wyoming. Combined. Here's how it all breaks down:
7,610,862 vehicles in North America being recalled for unintended ignition key rotation. 6,805,679 are in the United States.
NHTSA investigating 550k Pontiac G6 models, 320k Honda Odysseys
Mon, 10 Jun 2013According to two separate reports in The Detroit News, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is launching investigations into 550,000 Pontiac G6 (pictured above) and 320,000 Honda Odyssey (pictured right) models. The G6 models are all from the 2005 to 2007 model years, while the Odyssey minivans are from the 2003 and 2004 model years. The two NHTSA probes are not related.
In the case of the G6, this is an upgrade to an original investigation that started in February after NHTSA received "hundreds of reports" that the brake lights on these cars may malfunction. According to The Detroit News, the lights may come on when the brake pedal is not depressed, and likewise, the brake lights may not illuminate when the pedal has been pushed. General Motors was able to provide NHTSA with a significant number of warranty claims, including 1,100 reports that could potentially relate to this problem, one of which indicates a vehicle crash.
For Honda, the NHTSA probe concerns airbags that may deploy unexpectedly. The government agency received six complaints from 2003-04 Odyssey owners saying that the front airbags suddenly went off without a crash. The Detroit News reports that three of the six owners sustained injuries from these incidents. Additionally, NHTSA has received 41 complaints from owners saying the vehicle's airbag warning light had illuminated.
