I AM SELLING THIS CAR FOR MY SON WHO JUST RETURNED HOME FROM A DEPLOYMENT, AND THE CAR SAT, BUT WAS STARTED AND DRIVEN ONCE PER WEEK, FOR 7 MONTHS. THIS CAR IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION, AND WELL MAINTAINED. IT HAS 111,087 MILES ON IT. THERE WERE A TOTAL OF 3 OWNERS OF THIS CAR, INCLUDING MY SON. THE 1ST OWNER WAS A WOMAN WHO TURNED IT IN ON HER LEASE END. THEN WAS PURCHASED FROM THE PONTIAC DEALER HERE LOCALLY BY THE PERSON MY SON BOUGHT IT FROM. THE CAR WAS VERY WELL TAKEN CARE OF. HAS 1 SMALL DENT (SHOWN IN PICTURE) ON DRIVER SIDE REAR QUARTER PANEL. HAS A FEW VERY MINOR CHIPS FROM DRIVING ON THE ROADS. THIS CAR RUNS AND LOOKS GREAT. A BRAND NEW SUPER CHARGER WAS PROFESSIONALLY INSTALLED ABOUT 30K MILES AGO, BY PREVIOUS OWNER. SPORTY MIXED WITH A LITTLE LUXURY. FRONT DRIVERS SEAT HAS A WEAR MARK FROM ENTERING VEHICLE. ITS PRETTY COMMON ON THESE CARS. YOU CAN SEE IT IN THE PICTURE. THE INTERIOR IS IN GREAT CONDITION. ALL LEATHER, AND NO TEARS OR RIPS. VERY CLEAN. THE CAR HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT. THE TIRES HAVE ABOUT 25K MILES ON THEM BUT ARE STILL ROAD WORTHY. THE CHROME PLATING OF THE RIMS ARE PEELING ON THE INSIDE. THIS HAPPENS TO MOST OF THESE RIMS ON ALMOST ALL OF THESE CARS. SO, YOU WOULD PROBABLY WANT TO REPLACE THE RIMS AFTER PURCHASE. ALSO THE REAR WINDOW TINT HAS BUBBLES IN IT AND MAY NEED REPLACING. THIS CAR HAS PLENTY OF POWER AND IS A REALLY NICE COMFORTABLE CAR. EVERYTHING IN THIS CAR IS OPERATIONAL AND NOT BAND-AIDED . THERE ARE NO LIENS ON THIS CAR. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE CAR IN PERSON, JUST EMAIL ME AND I WILL EITHER ANSWER THE QUESTION OR SET UP A TIME AND DATE FOR YOU TO SEE THE CAR. A PAYPAL DEPOSIT OF $1000.00 WILL BE DUE WITHIN 48 HOURS OF AUCTIONS END. NO WARRANTIES OR GUARANTEES ARE IMPLIED. THIS SALE IS IN AS IS CONDITION. PLEASE SEE ALL PICTURES INCLUDING THE ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER FOR SOME ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS. THX FOR LOOKING AND GOOD LUCK BIDDING.

Airbag recall adds 85k Pontiac Vibes to tally
Fri, 13 Jun 2014The repairs needed for the faulty airbag inflators supplied by Takata continue to expand. Toyota initially announced a recall of 766,300 vehicles equipped with the bad part on June 11 as a followup to a campaign from 2013. Soon after, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration opened a preliminary evaluation into five automakers who also used the component in their models. Now, NHTSA has released the official announcement of the latest Toyota recall listing 844,277 affected cars, including the newly added 2003-2004 Pontiac Vibe.
While NHTSA's document didn't include a model-by-model breakdown, General Motors spokesperson Alan Adler estimated to Autoblog that roughly 85,000 Vibes in the US would be covered under the latest recall. Like the rest of the affected models, the airbag inflator could rupture in a crash causing the bag not to work correctly, possibly spraying metal fragments at the occupant.
Toyota spokesperson Cindy Knight told Autoblog that the reason for the disparity between the earlier press release and NHTSA document was that Toyota was continuing to comb through VINs to create a list of affected vehicles. The original number was an estimate of that process at the time. Scroll down to the recall report from NHTSA.
Howard Stern latest in Seinfeld's passenger seat for CiCGC
Thu, 06 Feb 2014We'll be honest: the actual cars in Jerry Seinfeld's hit internet series, Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee, typically take a back seat to the celebrities in the front row. Seinfeld usually throws in a few lines about his classic wheels in the first minute or so, and then moves on to the important business of sprightly conversation and pithy one-liners. It's great.
This time around, with legendary motormouth Howard Stern riding shotgun, the 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge that might have been a co-star, gets forgotten about almost completely. Instead, Stern spends a tremendous amount of screen time extolling the virtues of his therapy sessions, attempts to dive into Seinfeld's prowess as a lover and generally makes a nuisance of himself. Pretty much to plan, then.
Scroll below to hear Howard accuse Jerry of acting like Jesus, just before declaring himself the greatest radio personality in the history of the business.
STUDY: Ford owns brand loyalty in 2009; Scorned Saturn, Pontiac buyers will look outside of GM
Fri, 16 Oct 2009Ford buyers appear to love their cars more than customers of any other automotive brand, returning back to the American automaker when it comes time to purchase their next vehicle. According to a study by Experian Automotive, six of the top 10 vehicles for customer brand loyalty wear badges from the Blue Oval. That includes the Ford Fusion (62.4 percent), Ford Edge (57.9 percent), Ford Five Hundred/Taurus (56 percent), Ford Freestyle (51.9 percent), Ford Escape (49.4 percent) and the Ford Focus (47.57 percent).
Other vehicles making up the top 10 include the Toyota Prius (52 percent), Chevy Impala (51.7 percent), Toyota Camry (47.8 percent) and Toyota Corolla (47.56 percent). This brings up an interesting question: With the closing of automotive brands like Saturn and Pontiac, where are those buyers to turn for their next automotive purchase?
Apparently, not back to General Motors. According to Experian, Pontiac owners are most likely to look to the Ford lineup for their next car or truck and Saturn shoppers will switch to Toyota or Honda - not particularly surprising given that Saturn was meant to compete with import brands. Experian predicts that GM's overall market share will fall from 20 percent to about 17.5 percent, with most of the slack being picked up by Ford, Honda and Toyota.
