I have a very nice, silver, 4 door, 04 Pontiac Grand Prix for sale for a VERY reasonable price. There is 176,xxx on the body an only 84,xxx on the engine. The car, looks, runs an shifts great. The only things that may need attention on it are the ABS light is on (new hub assemblies were recently installed and the tester indicates a broken wire that needs soldered on the right front)- brakes work fine. Radio an cd player work fine, but you can't see the display. Needs a new fuel filter (only time it is noticable is if you gun it going up hill- it slightly hesitates, but then gets smooth again). No major dents or dings, only normal scratches and a few areas that have some paint chipping. No noticable rust at all. Rear spoiler, lots of power, Ccccccold A.C. and hot heat, lots of room for the family, but still sporty looking. Factory alloy rims. Brand new battery with two year warranty. Tires are decent, front brakes and rotors replaced less than six months ago. Dual exhaust, no leaks, low miles engine recently installed (professionally installed). Charcoal gray cloth interior with No rips, tears or stains. No check engine light on. Power windows and locks all work. Overall, it is a sharp looking car that runs great. With a small amount of tlc, this would be a perfect car. It is priced fair and firm. PLEASE read the entire listing and ONLY call if you are seriously interested in it. Don't waste my time or yours. $3400 firm. Title is in hand and ready to go. Selling as is

1939 Pontiac Ghost Car commands $308,000 at auction
Mon, 01 Aug 2011For the 1939 World's Fair, Pontiac built a Deluxe Six bodied in Plexiglass. Part of the Previews of Progress pavilion in which General Motors' Futurama showed off what was to come in the world of autos, the 'invisible' Pontiac is credited as the first transparent car in America. And there were no shortcuts taken with its body: the Plexiglass form was fabricated by the company that brought the material to market in 1933, Rohm & Haas.
The see-through sedan was sold at RM Auctions' St. John's auction in Michigan on July 30, fetching $308,000. Not bad appreciation for a domestic oddity that cost $25,000 to build when new. You can check out the high-res gallery of its innards, including copper and chrome metalwork and white moldings and wheels, and get the exhaustive details on it after the jump.
Sci-fi movie Jinn features car designer, Firebird-bodied Camaro
Tue, 08 Apr 2014If you're an automotive engineer being tormented by an immortal being made of fire, then wouldn't you think it best to have a custom coupe called the FireBreather for your getaway car? That's the FireBreather in the image above, adorned by the red wings that once fronted the Pontiac Firebird, running away from a black cloud of evil in a trailer for the movie Jinn.
The Jinn is eternal evil, always waiting for the chance to make things float across rooms before going on homicidal urban rampages. The FireBreather is a Gen-V Chevrolet Camaro - from the V6 to the ZL1 - that's been through Classic Design Concepts' extensive list of exterior and interior modifications, including entirely new front and rear fascias and side skirts, sway bars and springs, Pirelli P Zeroes and an available Edelbrock supercharger.
The movie - FireBreathing chase scenes and all - was shot in Monroe, Michigan. You can watch the trailer below, but since the FireBreather only get a couple of seconds on screen, you can find out more about it on Street Legal TV and its official site.
This 1927 Oakland is a minimalist hot rod
Fri, 21 Feb 2014There are hundreds of American automakers that sprung up during the dawn of the automotive era, only to fold into obscurity or get gobbled up by what would eventually become the Big Four (yes, we're counting AMC here). Oakland is one such company, which was the forbearer for General Motors' Pontiac division. Sold until 1931, you simply don't see Oakland-badged cars anymore. Unless, that is, you know Brian Bent.
Bent drives a 1927 Oakland that still rides on wooden wheels. Its original wooden wheels, from the sound of it. That makes this anachronist and his Oakland the perfect subject for a Petrolicious video. Like many of the cars highlighted by Petrolicious, this old Oakland has had some work done to it, featuring a Pontiac flathead engine that's been pushed forward and a clutch pack built by Bent.
Take a look below for a closer look at this rare and fascinating Oakland.
